Reviews! Not something I usually write - BUT something I depend upon a lot - especially when big bucks or health is concerned. So - a thought to do this review about Doman Dental! Let's start with the staff - you know, the ones you spend more time with anyway. At age 72, I have seen a few dentist offices and staff in my day - and this one impresses me greatly. Remember the last time you went to your regular dentist and found out that the last person who was there cleaning your teeth, or performing the x-ray has now moved on? It creeps me out! Were they the incompetent ones? Were they really unhappy in their work environment and HAD to move on? I have found a great consistency in the staff at Dr. Doman's office. The ones who know who I am and help me last time were the same ones there now. That, together with their continued good care, gives me confidence both in them and how the Doctor is managing his staff. Doman Dental A+ And of course the billing department. I hate surprises! Especially with the money part. Sure insurance pays for most of the services - until there is a really big expense - like a tooth extraction and entire replacement. The insurance is great - but there is a big portion left for me to pay. In my current tooth replacement experience I have been WELL and POLITELY informed of my share of the costs. Those predictions made in advance of the service have been extremely accurate- thank goodness! On Dec 28, 2017 I found out just how expensive. I arrived with a broken tooth - broken clear to the root! I wanted my insurance to pay for as much of the cure as possible, but the insurance year-end cutoff would mean if I didn't get IMMEDIATE treatment I would lose $750.00 of unused coverage that would expire in ONE DAY. They saw that too and IMMEDIATELY (while I waited) arranged for the Doctor to see me the next day and begin the process on the last billing day of the year! He came in early before his regular office hours, and the work began! That one action saved me $750 of out of pocket expenses. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Doman Dental AAAA+ Now Good "old" Dr. Doman. If you wanted to know what was really going on - this is the man for you. He not only explains "the whole ball of wax" at the first visit - he keeps me informed of what he is doing in my mouth as he goes along. No "mumbo jumbo" - just the plain facts and how it is going to go. He keeps very busy in his practice - moving from room to room expeditiously- but with his staff keeping just a few steps ahead of him - I have found no long waiting periods, no dark or cloudy assessments of what is happening to me, and NO SURPRISES- what I like best! I have mixed feelings about this office. Dr. Doman is a kind and professional dentist, and I've always appreciated his demeanor. However, my overall experience here has been disappointing. During my most recent visit, I had to wait 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before being called back. This wasn't the first time I've experienced a lengthy wait, and to make matters worse, someone who arrived after me was seen before I was. Once I was finally called back, my hygienist informed me she needed to step out to call her babysitter, leaving me waiting again. Additionally, the office's communication about costs is inadequate. I had a routine check-up with X-rays, but no one informed me beforehand that I would be charged for the X-rays. I only found out at checkout, which was frustrating and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the repeated lack of consideration for patients' time and the poor communication regarding services and costs have led me to seek care elsewhere. Transparency and patient-centered care should be a priority, and I hope this feedback encourages improvement. read more

I am Dr. Doman giving myself a review. I know this breaks the rules. :) But, I have a couple bad reviews in here from old employees, or at least from someone close to them. I can tell from the review that they really had their feelings hurt. I just want them to know that I genuinely am sorry to see that they hurt so bad, and that I really do appreciate all that they did for us at Doman Dental. I hold no hard feelings, and wish them all the success in the world. We try our best at Doman Dental to create an atmosphere that can bring joy and fulfillment to all those we are honored to have work for us. I am grateful for them all and for all the years they have given us. I am grateful for their sacrifice and effort; for their hard work and determination. My family and I have been patients of Dr. Doman since he opened his door. I selected Dr. Doman after doing significant research. My childhood was filled with horrific dental trama, to the degree the dentist actually slapped me. It was his belief that baby teeth didn't have nerves and therefore children didn't need numbing. My research found that Dr. Doman completed his residency in Kentucky, at the State Prison. I knew I'd found the right man! I have never regretted walking through his door. His compassion, and gentle nature as well as his caring playfulness was exactly what was needed. To date, Dr. Doman has gone above and beyond. During a difficult time, after a job loss, Dr. Doman waived several charges and to this day, I can not think of what he's done for me and my family without tearing up. I love Doman Dental! Dr. Doman has been our families dentist since his office opened in Lehi. I've always been anxious about getting shots and Dr. Doman is very skilled and I don't really notice I'm getting one. He is very good at getting us in for emergency visits. He is very personable and easy to talk to. I've never felt like he was in a rush. His staff is equally qualified and likable. If I ever move out of the area I will definitely keep Dr. Doman as my dentist. I would highly recommend Doman Dental to anyone looking for dental work! read more

WARNING! This man is a POS! He has had a revolving door of 17 assistants in the last two years. His head assistant just quit. Why? Because he treats his employees like sh*t. Don't be fooled by first impressions, especially his Bible and Book of Mormon quotes. He has Napoleon Syndrome and it shows in the way he treats his fellow man. He may do good work on your teeth but at what cost? There are plenty of other very good dentists out there that have respect for others. Don't waste your time on this one! read more

I Have been going to this office since it opened. The funny thing is, I really just went to get the free teeth whiting when it first opened. But I loved it so much I have been there ever since! He has come in on off hours multiple times to help me family in teeth emergencies. He is the best at Numbing with very little pain. The most competent, fun, crazy, and least painful dentist I have ever been too! The most fun is when he wears his elf costume at Christmas and says, "You'd better not have any cavities because I want to get out of here." ha ha Dr. Doman will Always and Forever be the Porcelli family favorite!! read more
