Dr. Doman and his staff are truly amazing and saved the day for us on a recent trip to Utah. We were traveling from California for a basketball tournament when my daughter's front teeth were knocked out in a collision on the court. The athletic trainer recommended Dr. Doman and called to see if they could accommodate an emergency visit, and they were happy to do so. As you can imagine, being in an unfamiliar state with an injured child is terrifying. However, we were greeted by the kindest staff member (Katie, I think her name was) who got her to a room right away. They were a calm, comforting voice in a chaotic time, to say the least, and were actually able to reposition and save her teeth. We were stunned! Aside from the injury itself, my daughter came out of the experience in high spirits with only minor pain. It was a masterclass in emergency dental care, and that is not an exaggeration! Dr. Doman took the time at the end of our visit to help us understand the injury and what to do when we got back home, even coordinating with her dentist in California to ensure they had the x-rays and other notes from our visit to help continue her care at home. The whole experience gave you the sense they would care for you, then it turned. The receptionist is one of the rudest people I have dealt with. I had a consultation (paid for) where I talked to them at length about a dental plan and the cost. After my first dental appointment they jacked up the cost and then they charged me for a post surgical follow up. I will never be back. read more

this dentist pulled a wisdom teeth from me, and missed a bunch. He then after showing it to me on an x-ray, made up a story about how there was some bones moving around when in fact, he didn't get out the rest of the wisdom tooth and wouldn't admit it horrible dentist do not recommend read more

Be aware of the upselling tactics that are used to make more money off of the patient. It doesn't appear they want to use the products covered by insurance because the fee schedule is less than desirable for the bottom line. Not exactly a honest approach in business practices. Conversations should be had with the financial party prior to services being rendered and it wasn't. Super disappointed to say the least. read more

took my step-son in and overheard the doc tell one of his patients that all lives matter and that all he has to do is say that loudly in downtown SLC to get shot. He went off about politics the entire time. I'm not sure who this guy thinks he is but maybe keep politics out of the workplace? Be a little more professional, seriously. read more

My 88-year-old mother has written this review, but since she does not have a computer has asked me to post the review of her dentist: "Fifteen years ago I moved to Lehi. I needed a new dentist and decided to give Dr. Cliff Doman a try. What a great decision! I'm still seeing him 4 times a year, even though I have moved further away. He's worth the drive. Dr. Doman's staff (assistants, techs, office ladies) have always treated me with extra care and concern. They are so special to me and I have come to love them all! Dr. Doman is careful, compassionate, skilled, always cheerful, and fun! He's a wonderful dentist! Dr Doman and his office staff are above reproach, I do not freely give out 5 star reviews. Feel free to look at my other reviews. But he has been amazing, all around. I feel better physically and mentally from the major dental work he has done, and will continue to do for me. Everything from root canals to cosmetic procedures. Not only is his work fairly priced and exceptional quality. He is kind and so are his staff. I am TERRIFIED of dentists and dental work. I have to be sedated or at least on laughing gas for the simplest of procedures. No one there made me feel silly or embarrassed for that. They are patient and he even takes the time to meet with me before bigger dental procedures to explain the process to me and help me not worry, without charge. He took 30 minutes of his time with me this morning to explain, probably for the third time, my next appointment. I highly recommend him for any procedure from minor to major. If I could give negative stars I would. I worked for Dr. Doman a few months and this man is the most dishonest, self righteous person I've ever met. First impressions can be deceiving. I thought he was going to be an amazing mentor when I began. As time went on I was amazed to see how he treated his staff. During my time there I saw this dentist take advantage of patience on a daily basis and verbally tear apart his staff. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Price: neither significantly more nor less expensive than other dentists I consulted in the area, but about average. Recommend treatment: also about the same as others in my case. Actual work on my teeth: top notch. Professional and friendly treatment from all staff, quality work, time taken to do it correctly, and suggestions offered to avoid unnecessary work. Reviews! Not something I usually write - BUT something I depend upon a lot - especially when big bucks or health is concerned. So - a thought to do this review about Doman Dental! Let's start with the staff - you know, the ones you spend more time with anyway. At age 72, I have seen a few dentist offices and staff in my day - and this one impresses me greatly. Remember the last time you went to your regular dentist and found out that the last person who was there cleaning your teeth, or performing the x-ray has now moved on? It creeps me out! Were they the incompetent ones? Were they really unhappy in their work environment and HAD to move on? I have found a great consistency in the staff at Dr. Doman's office. The ones who know who I am and help me last time were the same ones there now. That, together with their continued good care, gives me confidence both in them and how the Doctor is managing his staff. Doman Dental A+ And of course the billing department. I hate surprises! Especially with the money part. Sure insurance pays for most of the services - until there is a really big expense - like a tooth extraction and entire replacement. The insurance is great - but there is a big portion left for me to pay. In my current tooth replacement experience I have been WELL and POLITELY informed of my share of the costs. Those predictions made in advance of the service have been extremely accurate- thank goodness! On Dec 28, 2017 I found out just how expensive. I arrived with a broken tooth - broken clear to the root! I wanted my insurance to pay for as much of the cure as possible, but the insurance year-end cutoff would mean if I didn't get IMMEDIATE treatment I would lose $750.00 of unused coverage that would expire in ONE DAY. They saw that too and IMMEDIATELY (while I waited) arranged for the Doctor to see me the next day and begin the process on the last billing day of the year! He came in early before his regular office hours, and the work began! That one action saved me $750 of out of pocket expenses. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Doman Dental AAAA+ Now Good "old" Dr. Doman. If you wanted to know what was really going on - this is the man for you. He not only explains "the whole ball of wax" at the first visit - he keeps me informed of what he is doing in my mouth as he goes along. No "mumbo jumbo" - just the plain facts and how it is going to go. He keeps very busy in his practice - moving from room to room expeditiously- but with his staff keeping just a few steps ahead of him - I have found no long waiting periods, no dark or cloudy assessments of what is happening to me, and NO SURPRISES- what I like best! PLEASE READ. Bear in mind, we've gone here for several years and have never gotten in on time. This last time, all hell broke loose. I went in to have a cavity filled and evaluate some pain in my right jaw. I left after a long procedure (had to wait 45 minutes, and he had to wake me up because I'd passed out on laughing gas) with shooting sensitivity and pain in my LEFT jaw, and the pain STILL in my right as well. Two days later, I went in on emergency (hadn't been able to eat or drink for two days), and Dr Doman informed me I'd need a root canal. Where was this conclusion two days ago? My family is infuriated. Despite a lack of evidence, I believe he may have manipulated the cavity to the point where I would need a root canal. He left my brother on laughing gas for 2 hours once (for 1 cavity). Allover inefficient, I've been in unbearable pain since leaving. It would have been better to avoid going to the dentist AT ALL. We're on the hunt for a new one. read more
