***WARNING***
Would not recommend Doma in San Mateo at all unless you're looking for mistakes throughout the process and in your documentation. The team of KATIE B. and MONA B. were so incompetent it was embarrassing. They kept forgetting which files they worked on, provided incorrect paperwork, and the best part - they had mistakes in official legal documentation relating to the sale of the home.
Mona was particularly difficult and initially refused to stay for our closing because it was a Friday and close to 5pm. We were delayed that day because they were they ones who had made mistakes in the documentation they provided to the buyer. They did not apologize and the buyers were so frustrated. Even the bank was frustrated and reach out to try to get them to stay to have closing completed that day. They eventually relented and Mona said to the bank how they must have pulled some strings to get them to stay for the closing. It's called doing your job and fixing YOUR mistake. We definitely regret selecting them as title agents and had to apologize profusely to the buyers in our sale. They had no regard on the importance of the transaction.
I cannot emphasize enough how bad the experience was and I urge everyone to proceed with caution. There are plenty of other much better and reputable teams to work with, but definitely not them. I never post reviews (good or bad), but this experience was so horrendous that I want to warn all other home sellers to prevent the stress we went through.
It seems like all the Doma offices have similar incompetency. Please read the reviews of the other offices on Yelp! read more
