First of all, when you first walk into this place, it is like walking in to a luxury spa. It's very clean, quiet and chic. The receptionist always greets me kindly like she is already expecting me and asks if I'm here for Brooke every time. Brooke's room is super clean and well kept. When you're going somewhere where they are constantly touching your eyes, it's so important that it is clean. Brooke always has a playlist going that is super relaxing. She always makes sure I'm comfortable during my time and has the most comfy blanket! Seriously I dream about that blanket hahah. When I'm sitting in her lounge chair, it's almost like my time at the spa. We usually catch up on life and have such great conversations. She is so personable! And then sometimes I drift off to sleep and it's so peaceful. It's such a great balance. Not to mention, my eyelashes always look incredible when I leave! And they hardly fall out too much! I can usually go a couple weeks before a fill. I always look forward to my appointments with Brooke and I'll keep going to her for as long as I get these eyelashes done. The table had a paper over the sheet so that was a plus. Conversation was easy and not forced. Maria is the real deal. It hurt like hell. I wish I'd used that numbing cream she sells in the front first. I found myself in some weird positions, but she acted like a mother changing a diaper for the bazillionth time. It was nothing to her. Wow, what a weird analogy. I don't wear diapers, FYI. I assumed all brazilians were very thorough and they charged extra for numbing or something. Stupid little me. Well, I was surprised how quick it was. A few little hairs were left here and there. I was told most salons use tweezers or re-apply the wax strip quickly and it removes most of the remaining hairs. I had to go home and touch up and wash some wax off. All in all, I'm going to say it was the BEST place to get a brazilian. She charges WAY less than ANYone I've seen. Also, I don't know if this is supposed to be a secret or not... But after you've received a brazilian from Maria once, she charges you $35 instead of $50 for every visit thereafter. Nice, eh? Tell the people charging $80 to torture you and your vajenga about THAT!
