The staff is all very nice and they're all good with how they teach the students. The facility is really clean too. I love that it's inside the mall, so after the kids are done swimming, there are a ton of food options and activities to do nearby. Overall, very good experience and the kids all seem to love it. I first thought that 30 minutes was too short, but it's actually the right amount of time for a class. Highly recommend this if you're thinking of putting your kids into swim.

Throughout entire 2024 and 2025 I have been sending my 5-year-old daughter, and still sending her to swimming lessons at the Flushing Goldfish Swim schools. Not only these lessons are Damn expensive (40 bucks for 30 mins and 4-1 teacher to student ratio), BUT MY 5 YEAR OLD HAS NOT IMPROVED A SINGLE FREAKING SKILL throughout 2 years!! I have asked her what's wrong and she said she had been paying attention every single class... I don't see a freaking problem. Well, actually, I know the problem: These god Damm managers have ignored me when I have informed them of this situation. Even when I stepped in again, they refused to do anything about it. Seriously they had no sympathy. What a shame. These "managers" should NOT be working there. How rude. I am addressing the higher department in this case. Please do something about this. Thanks for understanding!

Very small place, most of the staff is Mandarin, it is located in a plaza but they validate your…read moreparking ticket so it is complimentary. They have a salt water pool. I think they mainly teach kids. That being said, it is very small, the pool is in the lower level, and parents can only view the teaching activity from the upper floor through small windows. There can be up to 10 kids per class as well, so I thought that might hinder progression. My son actually had skills beyond level 1 outside of any formal instruction... but since he did not know crawlstroke yet, they put him in level 1. I felt it was not challenging enough for my son, so I decided to try him out at YMCA, and he was tested level 3 Water Stamina (he can dive to get objects at the bottom of the pool and he can float on his back, this is the level right before they teach formal strokes). So I am not sure the instructors are able to assess kids too well. Also -- there was one time when I overheard one of the parents tell the staff that his son no longer wanted to attend because the instructor/trainer was too harsh with her criticism or that her voice was too loud. The staff tried to explain it away, stating that kids won't learn otherwise, and the father insisted that's not how to teach kids So the staff said they would speak with the trainer/instructor. I get it, that is the way old school instructors tend to teach - with discipline (tiger approach). But in my opinion, it's probably not the most effective way to teach younger kids. BTW My son has not had any complaints about his instructor's teaching methods though, so hopefully that was just an isolated thing with individual instructors. He also had fun, even though he said they didn't teach much that he didn't know already (level 1) that's the main reason why I'm taking him out though -- for a kid that jumps into the ocean without fear, he needs formal instruction but he's far from being a novice... The language barrier could be a slight issue when it comes to needing details about things. In other schools, the teachers would take parents aside after the lesson was over, and talk about how the kid was progressing etc. but the instructor doesn't meet or interact with the parents over here at all.

Full Disclosure: My kids only had 1 class before I decided to cancel our membership. It is just a…read morevery small location, the waiting room was packed, I was unable to help my kids get changed, parents can only see the swimming from a small window on the second floor. However, staff tried to help as much as they could and they did refund me most of my payment (- $100 processing fee). So one star for helpful staff and one star for the fact that my kids said they had fun in their 1 class.

PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU PLAN ON COMING HERE !!!…read more I planned on coming here with two friends and my mother , at the start everything was great sure yes. The DISGUSTING thing about this pool are the LIFEGUARDS. A ton of these "LIFEGUARDS" are terrible staff. I had such a terrible encounter with some. My friend was swimming and these two LIFEGUARDS made fun of her infront of her. They body shamed her calling her a disgusting name. These lifeguards hold absolutely no respect whatsoever for the people in the pool. Worst part is they have terrible patience and lack great attitude. Don't clock into work expecting no work, you decided to work as a lifeguard so now you suck up and WORK. These lifeguards were NOT short staffed at all, they all have their table in the front of the stairs. They didn't open the kiddie pool at all even though very clearly there were a ton of kids. Worst part is that they're SMOKING. How are you a lifeguard and SMOKING? Especially infront of kids and others. ALSO!!!!! If you come here expect a man to tell you to move to another part of the pool because NOW they give classes. Isn't that ridiculous? Instructing and giving swimming classes in a pool where everyone is paying to be in? I said out loud that I paid to be here. They could also do a much better job in cleaning the walls of the pool. If you truly think that the lifeguards will not affect your trip here, oh they will. I read the reviews thinking it would be nothing but surely they were right. They need much better staff here , better hiring. I've been here before in 2021 and 2019 with no problems and remember they used to be much busier. Now it's a little bit more emptier than it seems. This could be a great place if it wasn't for the lifeguards. Do better. One lifeguards names I caught was Chelsea and she was one of the lifeguards laughing at my friend and making fun of her. The lifeguards that bothered my friend will be shown below. The dude is literally smoking in the picture. Worst part is the vape is yellow, same color as their whistles. Coincidence? But man, the lifeguards are tremendous here . The manager must have a blind eye towards them since nowadays people just want money . Bad experiences give out bad reputations. One thing to mention is: the prices It's 25$ for entry and 10$ for the chair. 40$ for cabana. Just for those who needed to know.

The pool is too cold to keep a toddler there for 40 min without then shivering a few min in. Too many kids a class. Day of last class: a few classes were cancelled because fecal matter was in the pool and they had to disinfect it. I was offered a refund for the 1 class that was rescheduled to a date I was unable to make. My 2 year old son learned nothing. The main issue we had was that parents are only allowed to watch the first and last class, so we were very uncomfortable with the idea of leaving our child (a very beginner level swimmer) in a class with 7-8 student to one instructor. Although it's helpful for the kids who may get distracted if parents are right there. Another issue was that some of the kids have severe anxiety and are pretty much crying through the entire lesson. You can't really avoid this but it may not be a good idea if your kid is easily influenced by others around him/her. My son started crying after seeing the other kid cry and that pretty much ruined the lessons. I liked that they were understanding to our situation and let us get a refund after we tried the first class. The swimming pool is NOT a heated pool. The room with the pool is temperature controlled and humid but the pool itself is not heated. My son was freezing during his lesson and was visibly shivering the entire time. I think the programs offered by this place is best for those who already know how to swim but want to improve or practice more.
