We come here pretty often for breakfast on the weekend. You seat yourself so you may have to wait a little bit- the wait staff never stop moving. Our waitress this last weekend had an entire round tray full of drinks and still stopped to grab and drop off our menus. They're always friendly and absolutely slammed when I'm there and not once have I felt like they're bothered or unwelcoming. My eggs are always perfect- had their waffle for the first time and it was delicious. The only lacking thing I can say is they absolutely refuse to crisp the hashbrowns. They're consistently mush. No matter how you ask. They're quick to bus the tables. You go to the front to pay. The parking lot is pretty full but we still have found a spot- they have kind of auxiliary parking in a little spot of land across the road. read more

The food here is great! We went to brunch on a Sunday. The place was packed but the wait staff was super attentive. My family all got different dishes, and each of us enjoyed what we had. Great food and a good bang for your buck. read more

My son and I were driving cross country and had been driving all night. Saw the Cadillac Ranch before sunrise. We wanted to see West Texas, and we did, then we got hungry and found Dolphins. The google maps will take you to the Department of Public Safety ( Highway Patrol) just look around up the street a bit and you'll find this great little West Texas cafe. Seems like it's a family business. Very friendly lady took care of us. French Toast, loaded with fresh strawberries (ask for them) and whipped cream. Superb. Really hit the spot after the all night drive. If you're lucky you'll hear some local folks talking about their day. Great place, great food. Part of what makes America great. I had an excellent breakfast here! We were just driving through and wanted a traditional two egg breakfast, and that's what we got. My over easy eggs were perfect! I asked for extra crispy bacon and hash browns and that's what I got! I ate every bite and wasn't disappointed. My husband said he wished we had a place for a good breakfast like that in La Grange. Best club sandwich I had in years!! Believe me, you wanna come down to the dolphin's and enjoy one of the best club sandwiches you will ever have. There is more food in the menu; they do have a lot of variety: mexican, sea food, salads, burgers, sandwiches (obviuolsly). The waitresses are really nice too. The whole service was amazing. I travel a lot for my job (see reviews of random places) and I always try to visit local joints whenever possible. Went to the Dolphin for breakfast with a group of 5 people. Everyone got something different and it all looked delicious. I chose an omlette which I thought was a little pricy but it was huge and it seemed like all the portions were a good size for the price. Staff was nice and attentive and they took credit cards which can sometimes be hard to find in small town restaurants. read more

Would give zero if I could. Not a place I would ever return to. Extremely slow service, food took 45 min to cook simple salads and burgers. Found a hair in my salad and they still insisted I pay for my meal. Took another ten min to get the checks out (table of 6 ) Over all, took over an hour to eat three bites of a salad and to pay her. read more

Excellent food and friendly service! they have a variety of breakfast and lunch items, the mexican food is autentic, and the catfish... OMG that is a must try. I saw a couple of bad reviews in here, but... they must be a very rare mistake on the service they offer... they have been open since 2002.... and everywhere in town... will recommend this place as the best place to eat! read more
