Yelp 100 Challenge 2017: 71/100: I'll be honest... when I saw this Shopping Mall from the outside, it looked kind of sketchy and poorly maintained. Needed a paint job badly. However, once your inside, it's gorgeous! Divided into several themes, each section of this mall has a creative way of describing the sort of shops you will see in that area. For example: the fashion section has the biggest brand names in fashion from very expensive to inexpensive. The "Beach" section has a lot of outdoors and athletic related stores. I found this to be cute and creative. This mall DOES get really packed, since is a "touristy" mall. However, it's quiet big, lots of parking spaces and a huge food court. It's a big mall with plenty to see and do. We go often there with the grand nieces and to brows, and shop. It has a large area for kids to be entertained and have fun. Then, we take the kids to the ice cream shops and enjoy a cold treat. This visit I took advantage of Post-Christmas. Shoes and housewares were the items purchased. Great prices for the goods. Got nice booties from Steve Madden for New Years's Eve outfit. Later, we visited the Food Court. It's a gargantuan area with diverse kitchen choices. We opted Latín Grill & Chicken Place. The food was ok. Good portions for the price and tasty. It's a fun day to just go and mingle with the crowds. read more

Whew this mall was packed by the time we decided to leave! Albeit it is black Friday so it is expected. They have a variety of stores but I wouldn't come here if you're looking for high end shops. As with all malls, they have a food court but I won't lie, they seemed to have a variety and some smelled so good I nearly broke my neck to follow the scent haha. This ugly concrete place was a 25 minute $20 lyft ride out of town from our Miami hotel. I suppose I'm almost pre-disposed to disliking shopping malls as almost by their unnatural nature they tend to all have mostly the same chain store, food chain set ups and this place is really no different. That said of course, in such places, I tend to end up in a coffee chain, and that's what happened here as after an hour exploring tat shops stuffed with mass produced, Chinese, Indian, Bangladeshi and Mexican rubbish I nestled into a Starbucks, chiefly as I had nowt else to do and a coffee helps to sustain the mundane. I was underwhelmed by the poor coffee selection, not even a flat white so I had an overpriced cappuccino at five bucks including tax. There are two things that persist in my mind from this type of shopping mall experience and this place is a case in point. Firstly, our collective appetite for cheap tat from the developing world is insatiable, but do bear in mind there's no planet B; it's time to realise it, the earth is our only home. Secondly I'm left babbling to myself both at the rubbish that passed off as food in these shopping mall food courts and the price folk are prepared to pay for sugar/water solution based pre frozen chicken thigh & leg meat. The various Chinese/Asian 'food' offerings are particularly grim - orange this, General that; there's as much nutrition in the cartons this rubbish is thrown up in. If you served this stuff in China you'd be out of business quicker than you could say rip off. read more

Pretty large indoor outlet mall located 10-15 minuets drive from the Miami Airport. I was staying at a hotel across the street from this mall and came here one night for dinner after work. It was so hot outside, inside was nice and cool. I decided to walk around the entire loop to get my step counts before dinner. They have ordinary shops from any malls and since most of them are outlets, price seemed fair. I learned that they have a shuttle bus available from the airport and downtown to attract tourists and there were many of them. Plenty of parking is available too. Service counter is available at each section and one of the staff I talked was very nice. They have food court to nicer restaurant, different types of cuisines available to satisfy your tummy. read more

And I am not kidding, this has to be my own castle, it has many favorite-food place for me to eat, and oh yeah, I forgot it has a HUGE variety of places to play, so if you want to ding-dong your a** off from shopping, eating and playing, this mall is just for you. P.S. I once came here with my mom, brother, and uncle, welp, and we were in there for like 2-3 hours, almost mid-afternoon. Aaahhh shopping. Some girls' dreams! But not me. I've never been the type to shop till you drop and kinda hate looking, looking, looking in hopes to find something I like to then try it on and be disappointed cuz I simple hate how it looks on me. That being said I don't have a personal assistant or styler so I gotta do what I gotta do. You can definitely find affordable clothing and shoes at Dolphin, once you actually find a parking space after looking for what seems like eternity. Advise on this would be to avoid parking by the main entrance and go around to less crowded areas and avoid coming here on the weekends. Yikes it's bad! Besides the stores you have the food court with many options to choose from plus a couple of restaurants (Cheesecake factory, TGI, Buffalo Wild Wings, Johnny Rockets, Latin food place and much more). I love love Cine Bistro! Must try! We like taking our son to Cool de Sac and Bass Pro Shops (might just be his favorite store). So yes, the parking is a huge fail (they do offer valet) but the mall itself isn't horrible (otherwise it wouldn't always be so busy). read more

Dolphin Mall aka Luggage World is a big circular outlet mall. If you are overwhelmed by crowds, then this is not the mall you're looking for. If you can't stand to wipe away pee off the women's toilet seats with toilet paper and the bottom of your shoe, then this is not the mall you're looking for. If you're in a rush and need to do a quick shopping errand, then this is not the mall you're looking for. If you insist on finding a front row parking spot, then this is not the mall you're looking for. If you've got comfortable shoes on and enjoy a long stroll and people watching, then Dolphin Mall is perfect! The reason this place is "Luggage World" to me is because you'll find anywhere from 30 to 50+ suitcases being lugged around by either international visitors or savvy locals. Dolphin Mall can be loud and full of screaming kids, but a walk around the mall can still be enjoyable. There is a huge selection of outlet stores, fast food eateries, and restaurants. They recently built a parking garage, which will hopefully help alleviate the parking issues. read more

Parking is somewhat of a nightmare but it's great for shopping. Nice variety of shops and a few big name food chains to stop at for lunch or dinner (Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, etc...) This place does frequent many tourists which for some can be annoying, but I like to embrace everyone and everything so these things dont inconvenience me at all. This outlet mall is also home to some of my favorite stores... (Banana Repulic, Ann Taylor, Last Call Neiman Marcus) and it also has Cinebistro, Strikes and Dave and Busters. The main problem with this mall is the parking space, it is a nightmare to find a spot and even if you valet park you still have to make a (car) line. Apart from that the mall has some good discounted stores, If you don't mind crazy crowds then go ahead and check it out. BIG ADVICE: be aware of petty thieves, they are abundant and prey on unsuspecting tourists. I have personally seen people realize at the drawer that they have no wallet because somebody stole it while they were shopping. read more

The organization of the mall itself seems chaotic. My wife and I had trouble finding anything even with signs posted and the people selling items in the middle of the hallways were extremely aggressive. The cinema was a bit dated as well but that was probably the best experience we had at this mall. read more

This mall is so amazing. My friends stayed in Miami for a vacation and I told them about this place so we went... twice! We really loved this mall it was so huge and sooo many stores to go into. I think my favorite was probably the bass pro shop. Since I had never been in one. And the second time we went we actually did some shopping and ate at the Cheesecake Factory which was just unreal. We loved it so much! So many stores we don't have back in Ohio which was just awesome. read more

It's not the most plush mall; it's more of a place that you can get a good deal. They have bargain shops likes Ross and Marshall's there, and plenty of outlet type shops. Not sure how I feel about this mall. I like that there's plenty of parking space and a wide variety of restaurants, but the shops were underwhelming. Mostly outlet stores, which I guess is good if you're looking to get some good deals on clothing. but I didn't care for any of them. As a tourist I came here to get the obligatory Miami paraphernalia to take home. I did find what I was looking for at a large gift shop, although my interaction with the cashier was awkward. I had my USAA debit card and she asked if my card was "from here". I was confused since I thought she meant the mall, but she was really asking if it was a United States card. I suppose she missed the USAA part and as a tourist shop they get a lot of foreign credit cards. Still, I wish she had been more specific with her question. Indoor part of the mall made me claustrophobic. A lot of foot traffic and the kiosks taking up space in the middle of walkways didn't help. I heard more Spanish being spoken than English, so I'm grateful I had two bilingual friends with me. read more

This is a well appointed mall with a great variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment options. On a recent family trip, we enjoyed the a movie and Dave and Busters. However, I had a shockingly traumatic experience at a massage place call Ultimate Relaxation. I requested a 45 minute massage and was ushered into the booth. About 5 minutes into the massage, another individual entered the booth, and they stated that because of the tension in my back, i also needed a reflexology treatment. They were extremely insistent and aggressive, but I refused. They continued with the massage, which was acceptably executed. When I went to pay, they attendant became aggressive when I opted not to tip. He insisted that they deserved it and that I was being unreasonable. He launched into an aggressive rant in his native language ( i am going to assume Mandarin). I hurried out of the store traumatized and shocked that this could happen in such an established mall with such an outstanding reputation. Avoid Ultimate Relaxation at all cost! read more

Mall for serious shoppers. Traveling from abroad I was amazed at how little English I heard here. Even Portuguese seemed more common. No issues for me, but some of the stores' staff did not speak English at all. Kinda neat actually! It's definitely super packed on weekends so you better not be in a rush. As for the "outlet" feel, there are many brand stores, which is nice, but I didn't see many good deals. Burlington & Marshalls are (non-outlet) stores that are exceptions regarding prices. I did leave a bit disappointed about the food. I wanted to find a nice and quiet sit down restaurant for lunch. There are a few (went for so-so sushi) but then this was out of wifi range. Huge Outlet Mall in Miami! This mall has a large variety of outlet stores to choose from. They all have steep discounts compared to retail stores, which causes for a rather large crowd. Pretty much every store had a line, and the walking hallways were congested. If you are good with crowds and like good deals, then this is your place. I have this outlet mall a 4/5 as I am comparing it to Sawgrass Mills which is another outlet mall in the Miami/Ft.Lauderdale area. If you are looking for one outlet that has everything and all of the stores, make the drive to Sawgrass Mills. However, this outlet mall will not disappoint either! read more

This mall is probably one of the biggest malls I've ever been to. I definitely got lost more than once. You have so many options, literally every store I could imagine was there, in addition to ones I have never heard of before. What was nice too is that it looks like all the prices were fair or even on the cheaper than normal side. I love that this mall has ample seating in the mall, as well as outside so that you can sit outside and enjoy the Miami sun. Most malls suffer in this area. I wish the movie theater was bigger however. I was hoping to catch a movie, however they didn't have any of the movies I've been wanting to see. read more

Mojitobar ruined my entire experience of this mall. I simply asked for two normal mojitos and i was given the most expensive drinks on the menu by default because i didn't specify what type of "normal mojito" i wanted. Totally ridiculous because I was obviously taken advantage of by the bar staff. The icing on top was that when i asked the bar staff why i was charged for their mega-specialty drink when i simply asked for their most basic...i was told that i am being charged for their basic drink. This is the closest Mall I have and I've being visiting it since opened back in 2001. During those 16+ years the Mall has changed a lot, many of the original stores are no longer there while new ones has emerged. The movie theater & CineBistro are among my favorites things to do, also you can find lots of good restaurants and places to have a drink or two! Parking is the downside, despite their new multilevel parking most people don't park there and find spaces close to the main entrance is a nightmare. It gets even crazier during Fridays and Saturdays, the multilevel parking gets full and there is no place to park by the south area so people have to park a cross the street on the grass! It's insane how busy-crazy this Mall has become during the years. Luckily for me going in Uber cost me less than valet parking! read more

Also, the food court is decent, at least they have a pizza place. Here's why I dread coming to Dolphin Mall. Problem # 1: Parking. There just isn't any. Problem # 2: Flow of traffic. It is all backwards. Problem # 3: People: Dolphin people a.k.a. Walmart people. Problem # 4: Kids: Some rough kids hang out here. Fights? Problem # 5: Tourists. This place is a disaster but sometimes it's unavoidable. There's so many stores, restaurants, and bars to visit but honestly it's just way too congested for my style. Unless you're arriving literally as soon as they open, it's hard to get a spot and maneuver your way in and out in a timely manner. There's a lot of rubbish stored but a lot of people frequent here daily due to the incomparable deals they find here at the outlets. There's a little bit of everything and the movie theaters have both CineBistro and the regular theater which offer multiple showing times. Most of these stores are outlets so that's why it's sometimes unavoidable. If you plan accordingly, it should be easier due to their new parking garages. Still, avoid rush hour and weekends if possible. read more

A great mall with a vast variety of stores, most of them outlet stores. I really suggest you to come weekdays and before noon, otherwise you will find long lines. I have been going to the Dolphin mall for years and lately they added a huge parking lot with roof and I think three floors( I'm not sure how many) which makes it very convenient for the large flow of cars coming daily to this mall. They also have new restaurants and I have tried some of them, looking forward to try the rest. I went to get birthday present to my son and we left happy with what we bought. I enjoy coming to this mall a lot. This mall has a very big variety of outlets stores, you can find very expensive brands like versace and Michael Kors to very inexpensive brands. This mall is very clean and well kept all areas are air conditioned. Does get kind of full on the weekend. There are also 2 movie theaters available both which are very nice. There is plenty of bars and restaurants for everyone available plenty which are well known.
