The first day out from having severe bronchitis and asthma for over a week to pick off some office supplies at Pape and Danforth's Dollarama proved to be a nightmare. I paid with my PC card and it said approved. The machine for some reason stopped, showed a discrepancy of 30 cents. I said, "I don't know why that is but I am getting overheated and need to get home. I will gladly pay that 30 cents to expedite things." The manager has to phone head office where she is on hold, transferred, has to repeat herself from the beginning again. Twenty minutes later, I write on a note to cancel it and my phone number to inform me this has been done. I leave my purchase there. A complete and utter waste of time. One hour later, a few other purchases on the way back at other stores for meds, no problem with my purchases, but no message. They did cancel it but to add insult to injury they bill me for the 30 cents. Thank God for PC Financial which will remove it after 7 days. It's the principle of the thing now. This manager says I just had 30 cents on it but The PC read my bank balance. Again added insult to injury, I have a healthy account. I will never go to this store again. The clerk who was originally in charge just went on with her day as if nothing happened. They said they were going to phone me a the end of the day. Again poor service. I will stick to the Dollar Tree. That is my two cents or should I say 30 cents worth of advice. The words petty, futile, frustrating and incompetent only begin to scratch the surface.
