We have been Costco Fans quite a long time. Today hit it for a quick shop prior to returning to…read moreCampbell River. Purchased in Meats a bag of chicken on sale and a container of their Large Pork Chops. Upon arriving home asked the wife where the Chicken came from - Canada. Then the P/Chops.........wait for it.......USA. We have a lot of Pork Processing in Canada ie: Neepawa Manitoba. So disappointed that we purchased Uncle Sam's meat - will be more cautious next time.

Cashiers just shoving your items right up against the previous customers, even if NOBODY is in line behind... making the space so tight, for NO reason. Also ZERO eye contact from some of them, they just push the debit machine toward you while looking elsewhere, as I hold out my CASH. So RUDE. Then they huff and puff when THEY have to change the cash out. Seriously. You are a CASHier. Costco is just another Woke Joke. The DEI hiring is obvious and the fact that this company even pretends to care about the environment - is laughable. Certain demographics are more rude than others, (we all know who I mean.) I find most working here are entitled, arrogant and posses ZERO personable attitude. 'Wasn't this way here 10 years ago. I also find it pretty funny that MASSIVE e-bikes (which are "motorized" with heavy, toxic batteries) are allowed to park at bike racks, taking up space from REAL bicycles, that are easier to steal - but a 50cc scooter that is smaller, is considered a 'motorcycle' and not allowed - although they offer NO motorcycle parking. BTW: A 20 year old gas scooter is actually MORE 'environmental" than a new Made in China ebike, made with child slave labour and horrible mining practices - but hey gotta push the EV BS. (EYE ROLL)

Don't be duped. I'll give them credit that they do a great job of marketing and using social media…read moreinfluencers like Jillian Harris and The Birds Papaya to gain followers. I was even impressed that they used their IG stories to voice support of BLM movement and to highlight First Nations people and lands in BC. I've spent about a year following FKH on IG but always hesitate making a purchase because of the affordability of most of their clothes. I've even researched all the pieces on other retailers websites to compare prices like The Bay, Plenty, Nordstrom Rack and even Sport Check carries Free People and they offer them at great discounts with free shipping and easy return options. Last weekend I'm scrolling through IG stories and notice FKH advertising a Bogo sale using a promo code. I decided to make my first purchase. The owner seems like a really great hard working female business owner and probably needs my business more than a huge franchise and since times are tough for small business owners due to Covid, I want to do my part and support them. First mistake I made was used my phone to purchase from the direct link from IG, trying to squint to enter info in tiny print on a platform that isn't mobile phone friendly. I typed the promo code and go to hit the "apply" button. Two seconds later I realized my finger hit the "purchase button". I'm panicking trying to go back, refresh and basically delete what i just did. I finally got the email stating "thank you for your purchase" and i knew it was too late. I just paid double what I should have. I immediately (within minutes) I called the shop. Its a Saturday morning. I explained what happened but was told that I need to email the business owner. Sure ok, this gal seems like a kind, compassionate person based on her wonderful presence on IG stories.. someone I would be friends with. She's not one of those heartless big businesses that see you as a number and not a person. She is totally going to understand. So I emailed and waited. Few hours go by. I call the store again and I'm then notified that she doesn't work on weekends and that she will probably get back to me Monday. Ok, no problem. Monday comes along and no response all morning so I call the store at noon. The owner answers (yay!) instead of speaking to me about the situation she said that she would get back to me in an email... okay? Hour later I get a cold generic (copy and paste) response of their sale/promo policy. I wasn't prepared for this response.. I mean, yes I had read the policy that stated that they can't amend/cancel sale after its gone through and that i need the promo code entered to get the discount. I sent another email pleading. I'm not trying to get something for free or take advantage of an expired promo. I'm not asking for anything more than what the business has already decided to sell the merchandise for. I asked if maybe I could get a GC or another form of compensation. Reply, "I appreciate your reply however as a small business we must abide by our policy". Basically "sorry, you fu#*ked up" I just wanted to feel like a valued customer supporting a small business. I had other options but chose FKH. The whole façade on social media makes me feel like a duped customer. Is she really socially conscious or does it make good marketing sense. If you want to buy from FKH just don't fu*ck up. She has strict policies and she doesn't budge...unless you have a large social media presence maybe? This business just missed an opportunity to have a faithful lifetime customer. I came upon my fav nail salon as a result of a bad experience. Its how they handled it that really impressed me so much, I now consider them like family and would never consider going anywhere else. Sorry my name's not Kaitlyn, Sarah or Jillian FKH. You may have grabbed my attention using them to post their free FKH merch but you have lost it for good.
