This is the ultimate store for the most obscure items you might ever need! They have supplies for…read moreevery occasion at the fraction of the price you'd pay at Walmart or Amazon. School supplies, bachelorette party, baby shower, engagement party, house party, BBQs, Christmas decorations, home improvement, cleaning supplies, car accessories, baking and cooking supplies, knitting, sowing, craft and art supplies, and so much more. One of the things that sets them apart from other dollarstore's is their large collection of balloons and their ability to blow them up with helium. Each helium balloon costs $0.50, you can call ahead to have them blown up and just come pick them up. On weekends there is usually a line up for the helium so if you need a lot of balloons best to call ahead. You can buy your own balloons elsewhere but if a balloon pops while it's being filled with helium, Forêt will not replace it so best to purchase their balloons. Forêt guarantees that their balloons are helium certified. Forêt is also a family run business. The owners speak English and French. A review below mentioned that personnel didn't speak English but I've been coming here for years and never had a problem. The store is very busy, the best way to get service is ask at the cash which isle a specific item is located in. Forêt is such a gem, the south shore is lucky to have it!

My family and I support this local dollar store, I grew up buying all my school supplies there. Hope it will continue to last more years. What I like the most about this store is the crafting area. Don't hesitate to ask if they still have some items in the backstore.

I've shopped at a few other Giant Tigers and appreciate their house brand for foods as well as Canadian ownership and pride. For those who do not want to venture to a conventional supermarket or big box store like Walmart, Giant Tiger fits the bill. This store is somewhat similar to Hart which is just a few blocks down the street in the sense that you can find home decorations, clothing, groceries, toys etc at affordable prices. There is a fair selection of non perishable items, frozen food and even fresh meat and dairy. Unfortunately I find many of the items outdated in terms of style, the clothing selection is very basic and a far cry from being fashion forward. You can find all kinds of knick knacks and gift ideas however it certainly does not replace your bigger box stores. I would describe Giant Tiger as a convenience store for all household items.

Looks modern. Seems to have good specials and items. The bad: Out of specials. What I was looking for, they had no more. And signs showed that their space for this item is very limited. So they would run out quite frequently, which is not a good thing, and made this store for me, not reliable. I will not take Giant Tiger as a shopping option anymore, as it seems they cannot uphold their first page specials. I will only go in there if it happens to be on my way and hope for the best. Sad first Giant Tiger experience.

I stumbled across this business after seing a Facebook ad in my newsfeed. There was a sponsored…read morepost showcasing a range of pictures of items on sale. This liquidation store offers a wide assortement of goods ranging from food, toys, household (bedding, decorations, kitchenware..) clothing and electronics. It is essentially a discount store that sells refurbished items that were normally sold at Costco for example, food that could be close to their best before date, discontinued items, "rejects" and other mistmatched goods. Most items are new and in great, unopened conditions. Other times the packaging could be damaged without affecting the quality of the item. There are many similar liquidation/outlet centers within the city that offer these types of deals, but this particular location caught my eye because they sold things I've never seen elsewhere. For example, they had frozen Mcdonalds chicken nuggets - a 1 kilo bag for 10$, which was roughly 50 nuggets. These are the real thing served at Mcdonalds restaurants and came directly from the supplier. We baked them at home and it was a hit - the whole family loved them! It's a fun place to shop if you want to come often since it's like a treasure hunt. You never know what you'll find. We ended up also buying some cheap Keurig coffee Kcups, chocolates some beauty items and a blanket. Small family run business with great service. If you like finding a deal and are in need of a gift at a good price come here!
