This has certainly decreased how frequently I shop at Big Lots. In general service is poor. That includes Big Lots "rewards" card. (Mine never worked and no one could ever fix it.) Availability of stock on the shelf is rather hit or miss. I see a lot of employee turnover, so I imagine it may not be the best place to work. If you don't need help, count your bags before leaving, and like discounts, this may be a great store for you!

When I walked into the burrow, I was surprised by its size. It was smaller than I was expecting, but I didn't feel cramped. There was a back room where I heard some fellow card game enthusiasts having quite a rambunctious time, something I plan on being a part of soon! The contents of the store made me feel like I was living out a wonderful dream. The shelves were lined with things from my favorite amines and books, especially Harry Potter. (If you haven't picked up on it yet, the stores name comes from Harry Potter!) Let me tell you, I almost spent all the money in my account in that store. And I wouldn't have been upset if I did! I picked up a few things that I will for sure add to my collections. If you're into things such as any of the things I listed above, you'll love the Burrow.

It looked like a tornado had hit…read more Melted ice cream all over the doors to the ice cream, spilled nut, an empty ice cream bucket tossed haphazardly, and that was just part of the problem. I asked for a scoop of ice cream. Usually, I get a decent scoop. The scoop was small. The guy didn't even push it down, like usual. Maybe he was new, as evidenced by the 2 guys over by the register pointing and laughing, who could have been cleaning up the huge mess. The tables were all nasty. We left. Came back this morning for breakfast. I asked for gravy, did not get it. I went back to the counter, asked for gravy and watched him scrape the sides of the container for it. I shopped…read morebeforehand and easily had a 100 dollars in my cart , low ball estimate. there was a massive line and one cashier. so to save myself hassle and the cashier no one was taking ownership to assist the headache of my question , I stayed by the prepaid cards and attempted to verify the card I chose would work for my circumstance. both of my phones were struggling to access the internet. dollar general has effected all my phones this way, always. it was taking me time to wait out lagging search results. the cashier waked passed me and asked if I need help. I told her I was trying to figure this card out. and she want back to the cashier stand. about 2 minutes later another employee walked up and forcibly took my cart , with a phone still in it,, to be kept behind the counter. evidently I had lost my privilege to shop with a cart. with no other explanation than 'this is literally what my manager wants us to do' to be rude to the people keeping this business and your paycheck revolving? I tossed the prepaid package in the cart and told her id go somewhere else. to which she replied 'I'm sure you will ' WELL IM SURE low rent behavior is not how you retain PAYING CLIENTELE Im also sure dollar general needs to reevaluate their standards for hiring , because this woman had no interpersonal communication , no respect for what makes her paycheck a reality , no decorum , no professionalism , no tact, and no filter for her offensive behavior. class, not everyone has it. I stated I needed my phone out of the basket . to which she said in a condescending manner 'ma'am. you phone is in your HAND. ' AND THERE IS ANOTHER , MY PROPERTY, IN YOURND*%^ BASKET. She finally shut her mouth. the insinuation was that I was a thief. probably getting ready to make a run for it with the cart out the door. because I run. right. or because I have no money. right. or because I have no integrity. right. it was offensive. and , frankly, embarrassing. although , it's not me who should be embarrassed. she should be embarrassed by her lacking ability to execute the process of making an informed and company first decision. she insinuated that I was a thief, what a joke. I hope they pay her for her grade of work. shes not an asset in anyway I can imagine that environment being in need of. decorum is not hard to practice. you stayed in your lane the entire way to work. what would possess you to swerve wide when you get there. word of mouth....how's that multiply. shop at your own risk. you can't be refunded your wasted time. but she's getting paid to take it. someone explain to me the thief in this scenario. no home training. damn shame.
