Every time I visit this Dollar Tree, I like how clean and well organized it is. See the pics I took today and you can agree that stuff is neatly placed and organized. Yes, sometimes you can't find what you are looking for because of inventory issues or being sold out, but shopping here is a delight since it is so clean. Great job ! Store Manager.

This may well be the best Dollar Tree Store I've ever visited! Located in Airport Plaza, there's plenty of parking, and, the store is huge, so it has a much wider selection than most Dollar Tree stores. And, despite it's big size, it's very clean and well stocked, with no warehouse carts or merchandise boxes blocking the aisles, as is the case at some other DT stores I've visited. Perhaps it's because they had plenty of employees on duty here, and, they actually seemed focused on their jobs, rather than chit-chatting with each other. I was so impressed overall that I would have given them 5 stars, if not for the unkempt bathroom. The cashier who rang up my purchases was oddly apologetic, even though I didn't complain about anything.

Stuff for a buck Sometimes you need something special and nice but they are other times when expendable, tacky and cheap is enough. That's the time for Dollar Store. These places are doing well, over 4,000 of them scattered around the United States and Canada and they are expanding and popping up everywhere. Cheap is definitely good at times. Just about everything in here is only a buck so it makes figuring out the price reallllly easy. All kinds of things inside these stores, from kind of nice to really cheap and crappy. Lot of paper goods and stationary, toys, games, kitchen items, some clothes, garden stuff and even food and beverages. Nothing that is going to really surprise you but we always find something that we need or think is very cool and just might come in useful someday. The nice part is that even if the item turns out to be crap and totally useless you only wasted a buck on it. A store that definitely has it's uses. It's always nice to walk out with bags of stuff and end up paying a whole less than you thought.

Before we were going to leave, we looked for the restroom. When we found it, the entire hallway leading to it was dark and had been blocked off with room dividers and a sign saying out of order. We made a joke about it because it had the look of a closed off area, not just temporarily out of order. We were exiting the store, walking past the checkout area when an associate, a middle aged woman who had the look of being some kind of shift supervisor, basically wanted to start a confrontation with us. As we were walking past, well within proximity for us to hear her, she made a comment to a young associate that seemed to be about us joking about the restroom out of order sign. We turned to clarify what she had said and she repeated that we made some joke about the restrooms being closed. We did not engage with her and left. I went back to the vestibule area to look in to see her name tag, but I couldn't see one. Then we left. I had planned to write to Ollie's corporate but found on their website a rigid format to leave positive remarks but no interest expressed in hearing other feedback. As I tried to find a way to communicate with them, I learned that they have some very unpleasant actions against them, touching on discrimination and other unpleasantness. At that point it seemed that this kind of employee may be just the expression of their management, and I decided not to try to correspond with them. Then I came to Yelp and saw the recent review and comment about the restrooms having been closed since June of 2025. I suspected when this happened that she was particularly sensitive about the restrooms being closed. It appears that Ollie's has developed a very negative culture. I would avoid them in the future.

Type of place where you have to turn sideways at times to get by things. I'm not sure what the building was built for originally but it is obviously has been around for a while. The inside is basically several small rooms stuffed with stuff. All kinds of antiques, linens, old signs, clothing, furniture and plenty of cool knick knacks and doo dads. Things seem to move in and out quickly so every trip is a new adventure. The folks that work here are pleasant and friendly and let you take your time and look around without bothering you. That's a good thing because there is a lot to look at even though it's all in a small area. Mundane and common things mixed in with the unusual. The last time we happened by we saw a reproduction antique sink that was exactly what we were looking for. The price ended up being substantially lower than on line catalogs we were looking at. It was easy to install and works and looks great. A pleasant and unexpected find in a cool little store.

After being a regular customer of 25 years, this store lost my business. The place tries to…read moreovercharge you. An item will say, for instance, $2.99 on the shelf sticker and will ring up for $3.49. This wasn't on one occasion or on one item, it happened to me on four visits on multiple items. I had to start taking pics of the shelf stickers with my iPhone to show the cashier's the discrepancies. When I noticed it in the beginning after looking at my receipt, they would correct it my giving me my money and and then some--Like a dollar or two for the inconvenience. But the final straw for me is they emailed a rewards coupon for $10.00 off an order. I've gotten these coupons before and used them no problem. At my final visit to the Seekonk location, saw only $4.25 was discounted instead of $10.00. So, the cashier called for assistance and I thought this woman who came up front was a manager. She looked at my coupon, looked at the receipt and said, "Well, will you look at that? Oh well, if you want the $10 discount, you need to call corporate." I was like "Call corporate? Why? For some reason it didn't take off the right amount. Can't you just give me the difference?" "Nope" she said, "We don't give you coupons here, so you need to call corporate to see if they'll give you the money." So I suggested, "Well, can't we reverse the order and re-ring it to try and see if the coupon will take the correct amount off?" She said "Nope. The coupon was already scanned and used--when it's gone IT'S GONE!" I was like "Why are you refusing to help me? You see I have a coupon for ten dollars and can see on my receipt it only took off $4.25?" She starts yelling "BECAUSE WE DON'T GIVE YOU COUPONS HERE, ITS FROM CORPORATE!" I'm like "Am I not standing here at a location of Big Lots, which is part of the corporation? An error of some sort occurred. It's not my fault" Then she starts yelling "THE CASHIER DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!" I replied, "I didn't say she did. It's not her fault the coupon didn't deduct the correct amount. But this needs to be corrected HERE! It happened at this location and it should be rectified HERE!" (note: two items rang up at higher prices than listed on the shelf stickers and when ringing me out, she corrected it no problem). She said "We're not doing it". I said, because I assumed she was one "This is absolutely abysmal customer service and you have poor management skills". She said "I'm not a manager". I said "Well I can see why!" Then, at the top of the lungs, screamed GET OUT!!! Like she was Ralph on the Honeymooners. I left saying "You want me to call corporate? I will and it WON'T be just about this coupon". So, I contact corporate and guess what? The coupon they sent me was encoded incorrectly deducting only 20% off the order instead of $10. I gave them this wicked woman's name (I won't disclose it here, but she has long grey hair like Brunhilda) and told them about the wretched experience I had with this woman. All they did was give me what I was supposed to get in the first place--an email with just another $10 coupon. I got nothing more for the inconvenience or abusive treatment. I got no contact from a real manager at that store apologizing, I got no notice if the situation was addressed at the store. So, I took my coupon to the Swansea location, purchased enough up to $10, paid the remainder of 34 cents on the bill and left. I went home, threw my Big Lots card away and removed myself from their emails. Ollie's is now the store I shop for for great discounts. This Big Lots in Seekonk gets a zero stars rating from me--along with their corporate office!
