Dollar Tree is not a chain I frequent, but there a few items my children do like and at times we feel the bargain prices are too tempting. However, it's often an after thought of making a special trip as opposed to picking up items at the grocery etc. The location in Haygood Shopping Center is convenient for me and other Bayside shoppers. Parking is plentiful. The lot has sporadic debris and the walk up to this store consistently has trash around it. On my last visit my only task was to pick up tooth paste. We usually will purchase the kids variety here and it's a deep discount. The store is hit or miss on how tidy it is. The staff is often no where to be found, so don't expect help unless you try hard to seek it out. Checkouts have been sporadic. There has never been an issue with the processing mind you. But on my last visit the young male cashier gave no greeting, eye contact and no have a good day. That's not what I would expect from any business I'm giving money to and I do not plan on retiring anytime soon. 2.5 rounding up down.

Friday and Saturday seem to be more overwhelming for me as far as how crowded it is. So you won't catch me here on these days. But if you want good stuff that's higher value this is when it's available. This is definitely a get in where you fit in kind of situation. Everyone is doing their own thing and it's busy. There are bins in the center and off to the side they have regular priced items. You can literally find anything in here. From clothes, electronics, home decor, pet items, baby stuff. Some items are broken so pay close attention. I found a shiatsu massager, a speaker, a white noise machine, and so many other things. This place gets my adrenaline pumping. Definitely check them out!!

The items for sale were mostly boxed in their original packaging, but of course, some packages were opened with merchandise hanging out of them. I was overwhelmed at the process. There are so many people in there that it reminds me of a New York street flea market. The checkout line was long, but it moved well. There were store employees to help you if you had questions about the pick and pay process. My friends loved it and bought as much as they could. They were happy about the low prices, and they enjoyed the shopping process. If you are in the mood for pulling and picking for the best prices on clothes, small appliances, houseware, furniture than this store is the place to go to get great deals. Great for new homeowners, new apartment purchases, birthdays, holidays, etc. Please read the other reviews for more details on the daily specials and tips for picking. I was personally overwhelmed and had to leave them shopping. My friends were so happy that they took me to Krispy Kreme to repay me for the ride, so it was a win-win for all of us.

The store catches your eye at night because of the beautiful lit green logo. It's in a great location with the traffic to & from JEB Little Creek/Fort Story and the large neighborhoods that Pleasure House Road leads to. Even though it's a congested area, there is an entrance if one is heading north of Independence & another on Pleasure House Road. I've never seen a standalone Dollar Tree. So even though it's not a store I normally frequent I stopped last night, drawn by the shiny lights & the need for a gigantic Christmas bag. My immediate reaction upon entering was that the layout looked just like the Rite Aid. The checkout counter was different. But I fully pictured the pharmacy being in the back like before. Walking in I was surprised to see the hard to locate Giant sized Christmas bags displayed on the front window wall. Joy . After picking up some adjacent smaller bags, I decided to checkout. It wasn't a good time to explore. The store looked well stocked with wide aisles & meticulously clean. The interior was bright & had an airy feel. There are handicapped parking spaces adjacent to both sides of the entrance. The only negative is that the parking next to the building is dark during evening hours. More lighting would be appreciated. I'll definitely return to explore their large inventory.

The Dollar Tree replaced a Rite Aid Pharmacy. They did not need to do much, but the exterior has been freshened up. Plenty of parking and no debris in sight. The signage is excellent off Independence Blvd. At night it lights up like a beacon. My first attempt to shop was their Grand Opening two weeks ago, but they were not open. This visit I was greeted upon entering by a cashier. I had no intention to purchase anything, just browse and learn what they carry. I was really surprised to learn it's really like a miss mash of a lot of things. It's part grocery, auto parts, pets, toys, books, art/ craft, personal health, pharmacy items and oh my goodness candy and snacks. If you're looking for it they likely have it. Dollar Tree even has helium gift balloons they will inflate. They have a large assortment of Christmas out now too! The store was clean, organized and staff in the aisles helpful when asking questions. Dollar Tree offers a lot and at a discounted price too! I'm sure I will be back again.

I am thinking to myself as I walked in that perhaps this way of shopping may not be my cup of tea but boy oh boy was I mistaken. I normally do not Thrift Shop but Kool Bins is very organized and clean.. Kool Bins buys large quantities of packages from places like Amazon that have been returned or never reached their destination and allows their clients to sift thru all sorts of undelivered of packages and purchase the items for a VERY LOW PRICE. Rummaging thru huge bins you can find packages that have a variety of items such as supplements, costumes, household good, accessories such as cell phone covers and even higher ticket items like laptops, etc. They offer daily deals such at $2 Tuesdays where each item that you choose to perchase will only be $2!!! One of the strict codes of conduct while shopping at Kool Bins is to not open packages that are sealed. If you wish to see any of the items that are not clearly visible thru the packaging, you are I trudged to take your package to a viewing table in the back.. here a very lovely representative will open ALL the packages of choice so that you can actually see and inspect your new findings because actually commuting ti purchase. I only went to Look and I left with 15 items . So I think it's worth to check out if you are in the area. Please note that if you followed their social media page, one can see when they receive a new shipment and more or less see what Kool Bins will receive in advance. Overall I will be returning to see what other great finds I can scoop up.

I believe that most of the items available here are mainly Amazon returns that they buy in bulk and are looking to offload. They provide preview pictures of "big ticket" items a couple of days before MEGA Sunday which is the first day of pickings/savings. They will typically have electronics, kitchen items, etc that normally retail in price of more than $100. But obviously these are returns so there is no guarantee that they work and that they are flawless. Each item on MEGA Sunday is $7 which is an amazing deal! Starting Monday and every day after that, it's $4 for each item, then $3 and so on. I've been a few times now both on Sundays and on a weekday and I would recommend getting there at least half hour early on Sundays and on a weekday, you don't need to come too early at all. I have found some pretty cool items to either to keep for myself or to resell online. Even if you're remotely interested, you should definitely check this place out! Inventory changes every week so you may find something you may like for a steal! SN: they give you a bag, you can fill it up with items you want and anything in a box they will open for you so you can see what's inside before purchasing. Coming with multiple people will allow you more chances to find the "big ticket" items and maybe you'll come home with something amazing!

I bought a pair of sunglasses that I still have to this day. I miss the location in VB Town Center. It was one of the best, especially when it had the Rockwall. An employee named Darren ran the Rockwall almost 20 years ago and he works at the Lynnhaven Dicks store in the shoe department. My daughter needed new shoes for a camping trip and Darren, as usual was awesome! Lots of great knowledge and advice and patience. She found some New Balance that was perfect and the right price. Darren's customer service skills are unmatched and I'm so glad that he was there to help us. The chain carries a lot of name brands like Adidas, Nike and Hoka's. The overall store in my opinion has not been as strong, but the selection has been every bit as good. They like others have cut back on staff and it can be challenging to get help when shopping. Customer service is not nearly what it used to be. When checking out the cashier was downright not friendly. So this four-star is much more about a single experience with Darren than the overall store experience through the years. If you need some shoes, ask for Darren.
