Christmas, Christmas everywhere.
Danette A.

Your typical Dollar store. They seem to have less seasonal items in stock than others I've visited in the area. The candy selection is just out of this world! I do wish I could find butter mints, but dinner mints, though their candy is a huge bargain overall. Bonus points for neatness. The merchandise was well organized, the staff friendly. We would've liked to see another checkout lane open up, as it got kind of busy when we headed to the register, though we didn't have to wait long. Always plenty of parking available in the huge lot.

Fabulous women's clothing consignment shop in St. Peters MO. Well organized with excellent variety…read moreand reasonable prices. I just scored a new pair of Vince Camuto riding boots for $60. A steal! The staff are very pleasant and helpful, too. They have a small assortment of ladies plus size, but no childrens or men's clothing. Consignments are accepted for clean, in season clothing on hangars only. It's easy to get to from hwy 70. Don't be put off by the slightly shabby strip center it's located in. The interior of the store is bright and clean. Budget concious fashionistas should make this shop a regular stop on their circuit.

Keep in mind that they do donate them after so many days. I can't remember exactly. It is donated they keep 100% of the profit and it's just donated to their store. Today I mixed up my appointment time. I couldn't get it to pull back up and I came an hour early they would not accommodate me so I had to drive around for an hour which just frustrating because of how gas is pricey then when I did come back for my appointment. I was only in there for three minutes. I brought in over 40 items of clothing and two boxes and they only took about five items. It was very frustrating to say the least. I wish I would have just accommodated me if I knew it was only gonna take them three minutes to go through my clothing when I originally came in. It's also important to note the items I brought in were brand new, never worn items. This is not, including the home decor that I brought in. They do not take home decor it's only clothing. I keep trying to give this place a chance because I love it here due to the customer service However, they are not doing well with sales, and this experience was very unpleasant. It's hard to continue to want to do business with a consignment store when you're only getting seven dollars for 40 items and then when you make an appointment they only take five items in out of over 20 you bring in.

Once Upon a Child offers a large selection of kids' clothing, gear, and toys at affordable prices,…read morewhich is definitely a plus for parents shopping on a budget. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which makes the experience more pleasant. That said, there are some inconsistencies worth noting. Be sure to bring your ID every time there are frequent policy changes regarding drop-offs and pickups. Sometimes they require it, sometimes they don't, which can be confusing. The selling process is relatively quick, which I appreciate. However, I've noticed that many of the items they choose to buy and resell are stained or in visibly poor condition. It's surprising to see some of these pieces make it onto the sales floor. (See attached photos for examples.) It honestly makes me second-guess purchasing items here, especially higher-priced items like baby gear or amps. I really hope the quality control improves this store has a lot of potential if they clean things up a bit.

I love coming here and finding cute things for cheap! One thing I don't love is how the larger the…read moresize of clothes the more expensive the item is. So a 3 month dress may be $2 but 6 month $3 and so forth. Doesn't make much sense to me because when you go to target clothes aren't priced that way.. however, you get a good deal on items! The toy section is a hot mess and they should do a better job with that but they encourage kids to play there while the parents shop so I guess that is what happens. The line can be kind of long when they have good deals or on a Saturday but the staff moves quickly and I've always had a good experience with the staff. I have never sold anything here. Because they sell things for so cheap, i imagine you don't make as much on items when you sell them here. But i'm thankful for the people that do sell to here because i love a good deal!

Also, it's very spacious and a great way to get your steps in! I make it a goal to visit these shops every year on my birthday which happens to fall in December. Word to the wise: if you want to avoid crowds, it's best to go early and maybe even on a weekday. Most of the stores have really great prices and also some unique finds. However sometimes when the stores get super crowded and the checkout line is wrapped literally around the store, it becomes challenging to see the full scope of everything that is on display. Recently I went on a Saturday afternoon and walked out of two really popular stores simply because they were way too crowded and the long lines were a deterrent. Says a lot about the stores though. People saw some really great deals and were willing to go the distance for them. If you enjoy shopping and the great outdoors, this is the place for you. I am only giving 4 stars because there were a few outlet stores that I would've liked to had seen moved to this location after the Taubman Outlets closed, which wasn't too far away. Having those extra stores there would've really set this place off for me, as being one of the best local hot spots!

They have a small food court and some pop up stands like snow cones, popcorn with lemonade and my favorite funnel cake. I never have a bad experience and they seem to have what I need at all stores.
