Wow. I moved to the Phoenix area and i was looking for PT work. I saw an opening at DollarTree, and I thought I would apply. I went through the whole application process 3 TIMES, and their system stalled out. If anyone sees this with DollarTree, I hope they contact me. Heck, I was a store manager years ago. Its unfortunate that just because this Dollar tree is in South phoenix they don't keep it looking clean. It seems they are short staff because they always have a mess everywhere. Just because it is a dollar store doesn't mean the cleanliness and appearance needs to be horrible. I have gone to a few Dollar trees and this one is by far unorganized, unclean and you can totally see under staffed. For management: hire people who want to come to work and add a few more people in order to make it a nice store. Its not the greatest area but don't make it feel worst by not caring for it. read more

I've been in fancy dollar stores and dang ghetto dollar stores. But I can normally always find a few items with some redeeming quality. My first impression of this location was that is was dirty. And it was. Looked like maybe they'd gotten a shipment that day, but once I noticed it, I saw little stuff almost everywhere. So It gets 2 1/2 stars for dirtiness. Then - it tries to have a little of everything, but that means that there is only a LITTLE of everything. Not great selections. Gotta say, I was on the second to last row before I found my redeeming item. A large box of coarse kosher salt for $1. Nice. Next aisle, some metal skewers w/ plastic "stay cool" handles for roasting marshmallow's. Bam. I found my dollar store goodness. Service was slow with just one register open, though the girl was nice once ya got there. I might make a second pass again since it's in the neighborhood, but I'm not planning that trip any time soon. read more

Ughh talked about a grim location. It's located at a shopping center who has obviously seen better days if any. The store itself is average size, but it's just very unappealing to be polite. I would rather deal with the Christown shopping location on Saturday afternoon than come back to this place. read more

Really getting tired of this place because every time I go in there it's half stocked and there is the customer service people trying to keep up with the empty shelves. The place is dirty and unorganized, and just needs to be overall upgrade. The customer Service people do not look very happy. I have gone to other dollar trees and those were amazing compared to this dirty place. Even the carpeting is dirty. read more

This place was okay until, I walked in later in the evening around 8 pm and the lady blonde with glass, who worked there was talking so loud. I guess she just experienced an argument with a customer and she was reenacting for the guy who worked there, who answered his phone while Ringing me up, then told me I may have entered my PIN number incorrect. It couldn't be the fact that you're on the phone and listening to your coworker talking about beating someone up after work and you're a little occupied???? The lady even walked outside to tell her friends about it( while on the clock of course). What a ghetto, ratchet,catastrophe. Anyone can get a job these days and go smoke crack and pop a Molly on their break with what I just saw. FYI I'm this was Labor Day weekend. read more

It's a Dollar Tree. That's really all there is to say. If you've seen one, you've seen 'em all. You can't expect much from the goods here since they're cheaply priced and you get what you pay for. As far as this store in particular goes, it was clean and the items were neatly arranged on the shelves. The employees seemed a little zoned out as if they had something troubling on their minds, but otherwise this was a decent place. read more

Dollar Tree - As seen from Baseline - Discount Store Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I shop at Dollar Trees often because I travel for work. It is easier for me to buy cheap items once I get to my destination rather than pack them. I stopped at this one on Sun. Sept 23 2018 shortly after it opened. I had called the evening before to make sure they had the items I needed. I started looking for my items and asked a female employee who was stocking shelves if she knew where the disposable Styrofoam coolers were? Before I finished my sentence she said over her shoulder "we don't have them". I tried to tell her I had called and was told they did. She said "I told you, we don't have them" I tried to tell her I had called right before closing the night before and she yelled "For the 3rd time, we don't have um!" I walked away. I just started going up and down the aisles.....and of course I found them. There were over 10 of them. I continued to find my other items and when I saw the employee again. I said "Excuse me, here are the coolers, why are you so rude?" She yelled "I'm busy!" and walked into an office and slammed the door. As I checked out, I asked the cashier, who was very friendly, if I could talk to the manager? She told me "that woman is the manager" and she apologized for HER managers behavior. I shop at Dollar Trees almost weekly all over the US, and am always happy. I am not expecting extravagant service. This store was filthy, both restrooms were out of order, and there was a long line with only one cashier doing her best to take care of everything while her manager seemed to not care nor want to be at work. read more

As something of a bargain hunter, you'll catch me from time to time making a stop by one of our local dollar stores. Off the bat, I knew I wasn't going to like this chain as much as I do the 99 Cents Only. As Kristin points out, it's on the side of dirty and the selection is nothing to write home about. Sure, there are redeemers floating around, if you spend the time. I am partial to picking up cleaning supplies in places like this, where you get a gallon and a half of bleach for a buck. Regardless, there are better places that do what this store intends to do in a smoother, more cleanly presented package. read more

Not my first trip to this location but it's been a while. Makes me think they hadn't stocked the shelves or really cleaned since my last visit. With one person in the whole store stocking and acting as cashier the shelves were bare and unkept. While it appeared the employee is doing their best he wasn't provided with what he needed to provide customers with the best service. Parking is easy but this store is in need of a revamp. read more
