I shop at this store all the time. There are usually some "WooHoo" specials that offer 50%+…read moresavings. The employees are always friendly and helpful. Here's an issue: there is a store manager at this store who has confided to me that the store is not very profitable. He said this after I offered some feedback on the self-check out experience. He seemed to think that a lot of people are stealing. But the problem with stealing may have more to do with the manager than the customers. I have seen a repeated pattern where the store will offer sale prices in advertisers and in prominent store signage but then fail to code the computer console system to reflect the lower price. Recently I tried to buy large avocados that had been very attractively priced at 88c each. This offer was mailed to 1000s of Omaha households and was advertised with the largest sign in the entire store. Everybody, all customers and employees, could plainly see the sale pricing. But the price at the check out counter remained $1.62 for large avocados and the only way to get the 88c price was to persuade the checkout attendant to change the price. Three days after I pointed out the pricing error I returned to this store to buy two more avocados. I was disappointed to see that the price at the check out machine was still $1.62. Since the sale began on Feb 28, the store had been continually baiting people with advertising and then double charging them at the checkout counter-- 5 days of apparently intentional consumer fraud. I spoke to the manger and he point blank denied there was a sale. Please note this wasn't a digital sale, it was a traditional loyalty card sale. He said 88c referred to small avocados. I said there was a large sign that said 88c for large avocados. A large pile of avocados was grouped above the sign. The manager pretended he didn't know about the display, even though he is the person responsible for them. The store manager went off to inspect the display, leaving me unable to complete my checkout. After a long while he returned with signage that he has evidently pulled down. He grudgingly gave me the 88c price as a "courtesy" but impolitely noted the sale had ended "Yesterday". This was a lie, the date was March 03 and the sale was scheduled thru March 05. The manager was concealing evidence and peremptorily ending the sale despite these avocados being the No. 1 most prominently featured item in an advertising insert sent to everyone with an Omaha Herald newspaper subscription. There were stacks of advertisers in the store. I told the manager the sale was advertised thru March 05 but he refused to continue talking with me. I went home and filed a written complaint with the Baker's Corporate office. So Baker's at 30th Street is still my store of choice but I do not trust the store management. I photograph sale signs now and I am posting price discrepancies on social media. Store management at 30th St. feel that to augment sales numbers they need to falsely advertise sale items that are then selectively ignored when it comes to computer coding. After 14 years of shopping at the store I have become convinced that the store commits willful consumer fraud. The pricing mistakes can be simple accidents but wait; try to get those mistake fixed: the store will not fix price coding mistakes on a systematic basis. Summary: one or more store managers at this store routinely overlook pricing errors in their computer systems if the mistakes help their bottom line. They unashamedly lie to customers when asked about advertised sales. They treat customers like potential criminals when the sad truth is that the criminals are the managers. Baker's commits consumer fraud at the 30th St. store almost 365 days per year. If in doubt, GET EVIDENCE (take photos). THEN REPORT.

What a difference between same brand pharmacies! The pharmacy at the Hy-Vee in Florence is…read moreexcellent. The one on 90th and Center doesn't even come close. For one thing, every employee was masked. At the one on 90th and Center, the only two people wearing masks appeared to be taking patients to a little room for probable immunizations. At least four others were were working in the pharmacy and interacting with patients without masks. The Florence pharmacy had plexiglass barriers up to limit air/droplet contamination. So this is two ways to protect patients and employees. You would think the pharmacy at 90th and Center would at least have plexiglass barriers, but they did not. The person speaking to me actually leaned towards me to make a point. It seems like patient welfare is not high on the priority list here. Additionally, when I called there for clarification about my meds, either no one answered or the recorded message said someone would get back to me but no one did. That's why I had to go there in person to straighten out a problem they had made with my medications. At the Florence location, an elderly gentleman who is apparently 94 years old, is known by his name when he comes in. Now that is customer service and exemplifies the great attitude at the Hy-Vee Pharmacy in Florence.

They don't blink an eye or try to save the consumers money. Most of the time I go ahead and use good RX and even with them their price is higher. Their attitude leaves a lot to be desired from as well. They don't give you heads up. I came to pick up a prescription and they said 600 dollars! Never said, let's call doctor to see if there's a lower cost option. We ended up calling doctor and he ordered directly from other pharmacy for us and we paid 99.00.
