We went into shop here no restroom. We needed to leave asap and 2 people stocking front I asked what register was open and the lady said register 4 I unloaded everything and they didn't come Shelly and Jessica. My husband left as I had waited 10 minutes they ignored us. Finally Shelly had done 20 balloons and she had to ring them up one at a time took 7 min and then morr people in line and Jessica finally said I'm open on register 2 well I loaded my cart fast as I had waited longer than anyone and cut my toe open having to reload and back the cart up. We're elderly and handicapped. Shelly didn't care I cut my toe and either did Jessica. Everyone had already unloaded in register 2 so I had to go back to register 4 and still wait 7 min. Unprofessional uncaring employees. I asked for the manager and Shelly said Jessica I asked jessica if I could fill out an accident report for my toe and she said call corporate. I asked her for the number she said when I get done with the customers? Say wow I was there first serviced last and she wants me to wait with blood all over my foot. It's dirty and low stock. Kenny and Jake are amazing! I just left Dollar Tree... yes, I waited until the last minute to purchase V-Day stuff. I'm that person. It was a mad house. However, Kenny was super friendly and assisted me with getting balloons and adding string. He was talkative, and had what I believe, are long lost customer service skills! He restored my faith in retail store workers!!! I was surprised to see that they still had a large selection of balloons. I thought for sure they'd be all out. I waited in the long line, which I didn't mind since it's pouring rain outside, as I got to the front, I was greeted by another friendly face, Jake! He was friendly, talkative, and helpful. I was totally taken off guard because the last time I came here the cashier was not friendly at all and seemed to hate her job. Kenny & Jake, thank you for making a procrastinators shopping experience much more pleasant than I anticipated. You deserve many accolades, but I can only give you my gratitude. I've been coming to this Dollar Tree since I was a kid and it's never changed. Except it's now $1.25 each item. Either way, it's always been reliable for okay customer service and pretty much has all things I need stocked every time I come in. It always looks a bit disheveled, but nothing too too crazy. Their selection of items is something you can count on to grab for a goodie basket or quick party favors. I couldn't find a Father's Day card though, for some reason. I have been coming to this Dollar Tree for many years. It was always my store of choice as there are at least 8 other Dollar Trees within minutes of where I live in all directions. I went yesterday & I don't know that I will ever return to this store. The majority of the shelves were empty. There was ONE employee stocking the chip aisle. There was ONE employee at the register. The makeup aisle had very few items left. Let me say that the employees are always very nice. But it's hard to shop somewhere & get what you need when the shelves are consistently empty. It has been this way for several months now. And it's every single time I shop at this location. I've now shopped out in the Southwest store on Blue Diamond a couple of times. I think that is a smaller store but it seems to be slightly better stocked than the Simmons store. When I go to other Dollar Tree stores & say "my closest store is never stocked" like this store is stocked, the employees just snicker. I just dont understand how one store can be clean, organized & well stocked & other stores have such horribly empty shelves & not enough employees to keep the shelves well stocked. Also, there was a young black female who worked at the Simmons store who quitely sang while she was checking people out. I went in there a few weeks later & asked why she wasn't singing anymore. She wouldn't answer so I asked if she got in trouble. I just got a "look." I asked if she got written up. Yes, she got written up. Who writes up an employee for lovely singing? She wasn't even singing loud. If Dollar Tree doesn't watch out, they are going to end up like the 99 cent store. Out of business. Aldi is coming as is the Grocery Outlet. Yes, those prices are slightly higher than Dollar Tree & I am fine paying that as long as the shelves are well stocked. I know Grocery Outlet on Blue Diamond was better stocked than the Dollar Tree next door to it. Really Dollar Tree, why are all of your shelves empty? Very disappointing. read more

This one was nice and clean, lots of options to choose from, only thing i could say was wrong was a unique cleaning smell that i smelled in the back of the store that was really strong. The dollar store on Simmons and and and not Las Vegas Nevada is very poorly run, the store is always dirty and out of stock. The lines in the store especially on Saturday and Sunday go all the way to the back of the store and there are other cashiers and managers that could come up and help but you're not, You also have a store manager that spends most of her time standing outside the store smoking even when the store is busy. I do think this is something that you should look into now that you have raise the price to $1.25 which I'm sure you had to things are even worse than they were before.I really hope that you could look into this matter and take care of it I hate to have to travel all over not Las Vegas looking for another dollar tree to shopping. This past Saturday I was in line and the cashier, Tyrell or some name that started with the letter T was dealing with a customer who for some reason had an issue. The cashier was highly professional even after the customer decided not to go through with her full purchase.....basically the customer was not being respectful of the cashier. She left and he continued helping his customers. Kudos to him for not allowing that type of customer to get under his skin. read more

First I want to say I feel bad for the cashiers here. They are consistently having to over work because the staffing is just not where it should be. The manager never comes out when called to the front to help. Shame on whom ever the manager is here for not ensuring their employees are covered and assisting when called upon. This store is twice the size of the one on Rancho and Craig and they are always short staffed here yet the other location is always over staffed. Make it make sense?!? I really hope corporate or someone higher up sees this and helps in getting help for their cashiers and maybe replace the lazy management that's there now. Terrible customer service this morning. The male associate, Sam, opened the door at 8:00. I said, "Good morning!". Nothing. He didn't make eye contact. he didn't smile he didn't say anything. I went into the store and found what I needed and went to the checkout. The same mail associate, Sam, came over to the register, and I said "Good morning," again. Nothing again! he reached for a bag. My Purchased was small and I did not need a bag. I said to him, "No, thank you I won't need a bag.". He tossed the bag aside, ripped off my receipt, handed it to me and walked off in a huff. As I exited the store, there were two female associates smoking, right outside the door. The smoke was drifting into the store and into my face. Is a zero star rating allowed on yelp? Worst customer service ever. Lady ringing me out was rude and wouldn't talk. She asked me simple questions. Told me that food is not allowed in a return and rudely handed me the food back. I nicely reply "I don't know what you want me to do with this." She took it back and sighed "I will take care of it." She was also rushing people that were in line checking out. I get she may have had a billion other things she may have had to do. However, you should still be somewhat more respectful. I shop the dollar tree a lot but as time is progressing dollar tree is going down there never fully staffed and you can't even get ballon service when you need it cause there tanks are always down I have noticed the stores are looking less attractive some are dirty stuff is everywhere some shelves aren't fully stocked no extra help and no employee working seems to care about customers shopping there anymore. They went from being a 1.00 tree to being a 1.25 store without even changing there name making it to me a form of false advertisement cause there no longer a dollar store and freezer stuff cause more than a dollar some things are 5.00 or more things are all over the place including the floor and just the other day on Valentine's Day the store on lake Meade and Hollywood there windows had been boarded up and everything looked trashed even the garbage cans had trash blowing all over the parking lot it looked disgusting and no one working seemed to care. It seems the workers are saying it's just a job or a feeling of not being paid well so no care for the business just accomplish there clocked in time and get out asap and go home and the hell with the store and how it look. It bothers me and they increased there cost but didn't add anything at there stores for improvement and the Chicago stores charge you for bags as well and can care less if you don't buy a bag and yr having to carry everything in yr hand. The cashier Jenny be careful I watched her scan the same item several times without counting how many I actually had the particular item I notice she went over the scanner 10 times I only had three of the items .when I caught one she got a little nervous and started scanning slower. In my opinion, the DT is super useful for 3 particular occasions: 1. When you're living on a small budget. 2. When you're throwing a wedding and you're broke off your ass. 3. This location is clean and well stocked. They have lots of everyday items as well as your odds and ends. Customer service however is a hit or miss. Typically, when I've been to other locations they're always so cheerful and helpful. Especially as soon as you walk through the doors. Can I get at least a hello or good morning. LOL I get it, it's early and maybe the coffee hasn't kicked it. But when asking for help, I've never has any rude person yet. My best friend and I go to this dollar tree at least 3 times a month and everytime we go we spend anywhere from $50 to $100 every single time. Last night was the worst experience of my life. We got to dollar tree at 8 knowing it closed at 9. We got a 7 mins til closing warning and then a 3 minutes til closing warning by the so called manager "PETER" I was in line checking out with heather by the 7 minute warning, my best friend was behind me with her cart by the 3 minute warning. Out of the blue the so called power tripping manager peter came up to us, grabbed my friends cart which would've been at like $75 worth of stuff and took it from her. Stating she should've been there faster. We were the last two people in the store. He kept swearing at us, and saying alot of very rude sexist comments to us. He chased us outside. Told us he was calling the cops on us (why? We have no idea) and that he has the right to do whatever he wants in his store. He called us both b***hes and literally scared me. I've never had anybody in customer service treat me this badly. I feel like calling corporate. I understand customer service, I am a waitress and if we close at 11 and ppl want to eat and come in at 11. WE WILL SERVE THEM. This store is very similar to most dollar stores except for one thing. There is ALWAYS an extremely long line to check out. I've been there at 9am and 8pm doesn't matter...line of at least 6-10 people. I've actually walked out of this store after seeing the line at least 4 times. This is my go to place to buy helium balloons and gift bags. Buoy save so much money purchasing those items here as opposed to party city. Their selection varies and they frequently run out of the balloon you are looking for. I gave it three stars because it's always busy, the store isn't very organized, there are screaming children, and I always have to wait forever to check out. They have multiple cash registers but seem to only ever be using one of them. I think I've waited even 20 minutes one time but that was to get plates, napkins, and utensils for a baby shower. (Which was a great deal by the way. They even had a helium balloon that matched the plate and napkin design!). I realize the store can't control screaming children but it's just one of those annoying things that is always here when I run in to grab something. Oh, they have w good selection of candy. I like to get the movie boxes of candy to take with me into the movie theater. Why pay 4 dollars at the movie when I can get the same thing at the dollar store for a buck. I just visited this store about 30 min ago . And I'm in disbelief and utter frustration of what I just witnessed . I was standing in line when a family came in and the cashier at register 1 stated that the lil girl about 8 years old needs to be wearing a mask . The customer was very upset and asked to speak to a manger claiming they were being discriminated. She asked for the Cashiers name which she politely said Lisa . The customer asked for her last name and Lisa said she does not need to disclose that and that a manger was on their way to the front . After a min a manger came and was speaking to the customer and stated that it's ages 2-9 that is not required to wear a mask .. which makes no sense but ok . Then to my complete surprise as I'm checking out with Lisa the so called manager had the nerve to address Lisa that that's the new policy and she needs to know it! In front of the upset customer , myself , and about 10 other guests. Definitely not ok ! I felt embarrassed for Lisa ! From one manger to another. That manger handle herself poorly and needs a training refresher on guest and employee relations. All matters with an employee need to be handled in the back, not in-front of customers. Lisa handled her self amazing with a smile in her eyes! And said ok ... my heart goes out to Lisa . No employee should be treated this way! Thank you Lisa for assisting my legal blind mother and I with great respect. You kept a smile on your face and handled yourself the best that you could under those circumstances. I wish I could give this store a 0 star rating they need to restock the store in the cosmetic section of the store and also nail care products. They absolutely never restock anything. I asked the man that worked there when they were going to restock nail glue he said in a week I came back Wednesday and they never restocked but had the packages. I had a backpack on a (small one) and it was open cause I had to take my phone out, a employee walked up to me and got all up in my face with her hot breath and said,"we don't allow bags because people steal." As a underaged girl of color I thought that was racist because I just saw several Caucasians walk inside the store with backpacks. My aunt had asked the employee what she just said to me she claimed," I just informed her that she cannot have a bag because we don't support stealing." Clearly that's not what she had said to me. The employees a very lousy and rude they need to fire everyone there and get new ones.
