Later we talked to an employee who said the cat is named Serena and is one of 40+ feral cats that they take care of. They got them all fixed and continue feeding them behind the store. The drink variations in the Cafe rival anyplace else. Coffee is fresh all day. Over these years I have often found great deals. Several times I've come here due to having a fancy upcoming event and not wanting to pay full retail at one of the higher-end department stores. Often I find what I need. Not every time but often. I found that all the items were in good shape, so I assume when the staff intake items they weren't taking in junk. As for service and staff. They have always been helpful. I have seen them have 3 or 4 folks at the register and the line takes a bit but that's just how it is. Now I have never consigned with them so I can not share that experience. So if you looking for great items and not looking to spend a small fortune - come here and give this place a look.

I can see why. The space is crowded with curios, antiques, and just odd and sundry household items that appeal to almost every taste. I wandered around like I was lost in a museum full of historic artifacts that captured my attention. Although I am far from knowledgeable about such things, I thought I found a few pieces of value that were wildly underpriced. Japanese Wood Block prints on Rice Paper that had the right stamps and old framing. Chinese Glass Trays with the image of Shanghai Beauties from the 1920's. Mexican Glass Trays on Metal Stands with vivid colors that reminded of Diego Rivera. Also, Americana and 19th Century European lithos (copies) that held up well under closer scrutiny. The ladies running the shop are friendly and didn't mind if I seemed lost. While not a collector of such things, a few well placed pieces of interest around my home would not be a bad thing. I just need another pair of eyes to confirm that what I think has value is not just me being indulgent.
