When I walked in, I was immediately in girl heaven. They have everything from earrings, to fancy (yet affordable) necklaces to clothes! In fact, the clothes they have are SUPER nice and I would expect to pay way more at some of the fancy pants boutiques on Magazine St. I think what I liked most was the little gift items they had. They have stuff that is perfect for the bride (cute wine stoppers, kitschy hand painted chip clips and drink coasters) as well as gifts for housewarming or if you just want to give you friend something a little different. There was so much in the place that I could barely take it all in. I was so blown away by all that they had to offer that I totally forgot to take pictures of the goodies to share on yelp! I saw super cute dresses, tops and skirts for reasonable prices, that don't look as if they just came off of the discount rack. I saw a really cute polka dot skirt that I almost got, but I blanked on what I would wear it with and I'm trying to be more responsible with my spending these days. Recently, I was shopping for a mattress and thanks to a fantastic 4th of July sale, I was able to get a $1,400 for less than $800! I went to other mattress stores, and their "deals" weren't really deals. The woman working in the bedding department was extremely helpful and knew her stuff. I found my mattress and it was delivered a week later without any issues. They give you 30 days to try the mattress, and if you decided that it's not for you, you can trade it for something else. You really can't go wrong with a deal like that.

So we went to check out when my father called in the cell phone (he was apparently missing us during the week when we shipped him to Florida to visit his brother) and my mother proceeded to talk loudly in Tagalog (Filipino national language). At which point I shooed her away, grabbed her purse and waiter in line so we wouldn't annoy the cashier and father and son in front of me. I hate it when people are loud (which I usually am) and talking on the cell phone when checking out (I find it rude and disrespectful to the cashier and people around you). Although I am guilty of wandering around stores taking loudly on the cell phone. Usually I try to walk quickly so I won't subject anyone for too long with my loud laughter! Hey, sometimes I just talk out loud to myself and it me even scaries when I answer so whatever! Hehe... Anywho, my point was when the lady rang me up the boots were on sale even more from $24.99 marked down to $19.99! I asked the cashier to make sure they were on sale before she checked me out and I was like WOW! So, I did what any lady would do when dragged around the mall, I grabbed a Cadbury chocolate bar and asked her to ring that up as well (payment for going to the mall!) and used my Mom's credit card for the purchases. Unfortunately my Mom came back before I finished checking out and tried to remove said chocolate bar which I had to protest (yeah, I got my way, and NO, I am not a spoiled only child, I like the term well-loved! I understand the sacrifice and hard work to earn money and I do not take it lightly). Anywho, it was a wonderful shopping experience! Moving on up Sears! Happy Holiday shopping!

One complaint I have is: why do they have so few registers open at a time? Even on the busier days, they only have two registers open in the downstairs section and for whatever reason, checking out seems to take forever. I'm not blaming the staff, but maybe the manager could make more of an effort to put some more people on the floor during the busier hours on the weekends.
