Just got refused service @ my town's dollar tree after moving merchandise, my daughter &…read moregranddaughter did for me, off the floor to clear a path so I could shop in that aisle. I am using a walker as I had knee surgery 2 days ago & was afraid of falling on the merchandise. The merchandise was completely blocking a quarter of the aisle & from one side of the shelves to the other with no place to even step without stepping on merchandise. After cleaning a path, the manager came down the aisle & my daughter explained that we had moved the merchandise so that we could walk down the aisle. She apologized to the manager 3 times after the manager got upset that she had moved any of the items cause she (the manager) was supposedly organizing them on the floor. I continued on shopping only to hear her loudly exclaiming how we should have minded our own business & that we had wasted all her time. I went into the aisle & apologize again letting her know that if she didn't want anyone to move the merchandise for the floor, blocking the walkway, she should shut down that aisle or someone could get hurt. She than lost her mind on me, calling me a entitled Karen & that she was going to text the police. I'm 52 & don't know how to text the police so I just called them. All the while she's clapping her hands @ me, my daughter, & granddaughter. After I talk to the nice police officers, while she kept trying to interpret me, they ran my name with my provided ID & they explained it was a civil matter, I offer to simply pay for my items & leave. The young lady working the register told the police officer that she would check me out. The manager @ this point is still outside losing her mind & acting irrational, comes inside after I'm already being checked out & says "oh hell no, she isn't getting shit from here." The officers explained that as the manager she had a right to refuse me service which I said was fine & thanked the young lady @ the register for trying. I asked the officer if he could please just make sure she wouldn't go off on me as we were going to our car, they did but she was still yelling the whole time I was getting to & into my car. I have never experienced anything like this in my entire life & think someone of authority should really address this. She also after the police officers came ran to grab a slippery when wet yellow sign to put quickly in the aisle. So disappointed by the managers behavior, lack of respect, & hazard customer experience.
