The inventory here is made up of overstocked goods, damaged or refused shipments or even abandoned or unclaimed items. You never know what they are going to have, so each visit will be unique. This means it might be challenging to come in hoping to find something very specific, but if you're a little more flexible, you could snag some great treasures. The majority of the store appears to be clothing and household goods. There's also accessories, shoes, groceries, electronics and a little bit of furniture. My favorite part of the store is in the back corner called "Collectibles." This is where you'll find name brand clothing, handbags, watches and sunglasses. I had to restrain myself from buying $260 Jimmy Choo shoes, but they were a half size off and a little more worn that I would prefer. Most items in the store are new, but the collectible section does have pre-owned things as well.

It feels like the store doesn't want to sell stuff, they put limits on how much you can buy (there's signs everywhere saying limit of 3), nothing is on sale anymore (they do 30% off plates instead of 30% off kitchen) . Absolutely no thanks to all that. If I'm going to a store to buy plates, I probably also want other kitchen supplies as well. I refuse to pay full sticker price at a store like NPS where the boxes are severely damaged and where it's a 50% probability that the item is damaged. They don't do many weekly sales anymore so It's incredibly rare lately to find anything at a great price, the prices at NPS are the same on Amazon. Without the additional percentage off, it doesn't make sense to buy from NPS. The only things you can actually get a good deal on is their almost expired food.

Big Lots is definitely one of my favorite places to go on a treasure hunt for great items and great deals! I don't have much to say about their customer service, as there really isn't much. From Layton to Roy it's kind of hard finding a good shop that has what you want. The smell of pan baking was so enticing. It's nice because you don't serve yourself. Case in point, a box of cookies had the sell-by date of April 2020 (I didn't notice until I spit out the first stale bite and looked). Next time I was in the store, I grabbed two boxes and took them to the service counter and they said they'd make sure they were pulled. Two weeks later, there are still 16 boxes on the shelf. Milk is routinely past date, as is cheese. If they are this careless about things that can be checked, how can I be sure they are handling perishable foods and getting them refrigerated promptly?! I won't shop here again and I hope the Board of Health does a surprise visit.

Have always had a great experience in this place except for today…read more There's a new guy working there that I've never seen in the year I've come here that is obviously not updated on what everyone else does, I bought 2 Over Ezee disposable puff sticks, now usually they let you either try them in the building or right outside building to make sure they aren't a dud (who wants to pay $20 for something that doesn't work right out of the gate?) I proceed to pay and go directly outside to check and my mint was a dud, I go in and ask him if i could have another one because this one is a dud and he proceeds to tell me "well look here, I have people come in and bring their old ones in to get another free one" like sir you just saw me outside of this establishment. I'm really trying to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he's not updated on what every other employee does there but his attitude and the fact that he wasn't even willing to compromise is what makes me never want to come back to this place.
