He has old stuff, new stuff, stuff he makes and stuff other folks make. I bought a few things and wish I had planned to spend more money. I didn't think I would do any shopping, since I was traveling with my dad. BIG MISTAKE, HUGE. I left wanting so much more. The good news I snapped pictures of the items I wanted and I recall him saying if I decide I want anything later he can send it with someone related to him who travels to Houston often! His store is also his home. He was actually having his breakfast there. Nice fellow. Says his commute to work is great. I bet! He also has a bed and breakfast, no, sorry, not the breakfast part, he said he isn't about that life. He made these cool little rooms, with patios, that look just comfy, cozy, cool, and I mean really cool rooms you can stay in for a very cheap price! You are on your own for breakfast, but he makes up for it by lending you his kayak, driving you and picking you up at the Guadalupe River! I want to stay in that boat of his with my kiddos and drink my morning coffee on the roof! I like to say I'm not needy, I'm wanty. I wanty come back!

This is actually one of their smaller format stores of about 15 to 20,000 ft.². About 70% of the floor space is given over to clothing and they have three dressing rooms. This place has very little in the way of electronics and furniture. I will agree with one yelper that anything of real value is not going to hit the floor, but finds its way onto their online store or "elsewhere". They actually have very nice restrooms that do not require a key. This location is clean and well merchandised. If you're looking for clothes, you'll probably find something, but for anything else, don't be so sure.

With Goodwill, I love the color coded clothes because then I don't buy too much at once. They are so many awesome people there, too, and it's the best part of the Goodwill experience. For example, when my mom passed, I found out that the memory care center at a Nursing and Rehab facility she was at had more patients than they had blankets for. They wanted me to donate a family heirloom that I just couldn't part with. I said no, but I can get several gently used blankets instead of the one blanket. At, Goodwill, I asked if I was allowed to buy all the blankets on display. After explaining briefly why, they came back with several baskets and they loaded the whole lot up. People shopping were watching, and I explained it, some of them contributed to the blankets fund! I know my momma was having a ball watching this! Goodwill and Garage Sales were our favorite past time! I called my husband and told him I was going to take more time and why. He went online and got a list of the closest thrift stores. I got what I could find but Goodwill was by far the treasure trove I was seeking. So,in total, an anonymous gift of nearly 150 blankets went to several nursing facilities with and without memory care. Kerrville and Goodwill went the distance for me and for our seniors! I…read moredo agree with the other review that things are overpriced HOWEVER the items that are overpriced, you can totally buy that stuff at Dollar Tree. The overpriced items seemed to be plates, napkins, and cups. Easy fix. Just go to Wal-Mart or a dollar store. What Wal-mart and dollar stores might not have are the center pieces and party banners. Another plus is that they gave me a 10% discount with my military ID! I'll definitely be back for the decorations!

One of our oncology patients finishes her last round of chemo next week, and as a celebration of the end of her treatment, our department, as well as her entire medical team at the hospital, is going to throw her a party. We were trying to think of a great gift to get her, a 16 year old girl, and when the idea of a charm bracelet was mentioned, I immediately thought of James Avery! We scoured the internet for various charms bracelets and charms, and no where else compared to James Avery in terms of selection AND price. For starters, James Avery was the only affordable place we could find whose selection was 100% sterling silver (which is crucial since our patient has an allergy to nickel). The charms were by far the most cost efficient, and not gaudy in the slightest (this is a California teen after-all). After we placed the order, I realized I did not note for the charms to be attached to the bracelet prior to shipping. We had paid for 2 day shipping in order to get the bracelet to CA before her party on Monday morning, and when I called to ask about attaching the charms, I was told that attaching the charms would take 3 business days, and that the bracelet would not be delivered until Monday during the day if we chose not to attach the charms-- either way, too late to present to our patient at her party. I was immediately connected to the manager, Casey (spelling ?). Casey was AMAZING! Not only did she expedite the order and get the charms put on immediately, she changed our shipping to overnight shipping, free of cost to us. My heart is so warmed by Casey and her generosity, and by this company. I cannot wait to see our patient's face when she opens up her charm bracelet! It's not very large, but you can get a nice idea of how jewelry was made, the forms, the designs, and the process as well. You can watch a few videos and sit in his old art desk, too. The other side has a lot of jewelry, which seems well-priced for what it is. I didn't get anything, but it's also nice to window shop sometimes. Parking is in a smaller lot, so it can fill up.
