Eau Gallie was once it's own town but now it is part of the northern section of Melbourne. Run by volunteers, the store is currently open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10am - 4pm. This is a really old school thrift store. They only take cash and checks from local residents as payment. You can however keep up with them on Facebook. The thrift store is a main room with two smaller side rooms. In the large room is clothing, accessories, and some household items. They had some children's Halloween costumes. The side rooms hold crafts, party items. household goods including a lot of china, and bric-a-brac. Prices are inexpensive. A beautiful punch bowl set that would be perfect for any shower was only $15. A visit here is like a trip back in time. From the creaky floors to the vintage items they sell to their old fashioned payment policy of not accepting credit cards, this store is like something out of the past. The store has several departments: children's, ladies, men's, housewares, accessories, shoes, personal care products and luggage. They still have a large selection of swimwear and cover-ups so if you are still looking, check them out. The clothing featured was stylish and well made. They actually had really cute pieces including, kimono covers, sleeveless tops and dresses. was a better quality than what I have found in some of these stores. I found a really nice black v-neck tee for my husband. It was thin and was very well designed with shoulder accents. I love roller bags because I use them when grocery shopping. They are perfect for hauling heavy produce and of course they are recyclable. Although I wasn't in the mood to purchase one at the time, I did take note that they are carried at this store and that they had a varied selection. This store reminds me of a small Ross or Burlington so there are possibilities but you will just need to have an open mind and a little bit of patience.
