I love this store!!! Filled with Detroit pride and nostalgia, this place makes me smile…read more You can definitely find a nice variety of Detroit sweatshirts, T-shirt's, hats, and jewelry, but there are also unique items that I haven't seen anywhere else. For example, candles with Detroit specific scents like "Detroit soul", "Detroit Love", "Belle Isle beach", "Eastern Market", and more. Also, fun, vintage beverage coasters. They even sell Faygo by the glass bottle. Classic! A great selection of books about Detroit too. Excellent and friendly customer service. I enjoyed my shopping spree here. They also have cool purses made from up-cycled seat belts that are indestructible, fashionable, and washable too. Made in Detroit, of course. Located inside the gorgeous Fisher Building, this store offer free tours of the Fisher Building on Saturdays. I attended the hour long tour today and it was awesome! Jacob did a great job. We even had access to floors of the Fisher that are not open to the general public. It was fascinating to hear more about the Fisher family, the creation of the building, the art and more. You can reserve the free tickets through the store's website/Eventbrite page. I definitely recommend taking the tour and shopping here.

Very cool Detroit goods store with many books, clothing items and memorabilia all about Detroit…read more Also got an orange creamsicle Faygo - which is a soda pop company based in Detroit. Great value, reasonable prices and awesome service too - located in the Fisher Building as well, check it out if you are in New Center!

Meijer 4th of July Vanilla Iced Doughnut: Although there are plenty of specialty doughnuts that I…read moreenjoy more, one of my favorite types of "basic" doughnuts is vanilla iced yeast/raised doughnuts. For a grocery store bakery, I've been impressed with the doughnuts at my local Meijer (although the selection is sadly wildly inconsistent). I was immediately drawn to this doughnut by the patriotic coloring of the icing drizzled on it. The blue and red look fantastic, but the white drizzle is superfluous with all the white icing already covering the doughnut. I found the dough to have a nice thick and chewy texture while also being light and pillowy. The flavor was a combination of butter in the body of the dough, along with vanilla from the icing. Unlike some chains (Dunkin), the layer of icing was thick and satisfying and that's before factoring in the extra drizzle. Give me liberty or give me doughnuts! Although I have dragged myself in this store a few times off the convince factor and had worked at the Amazon for a long while I do hate it. I hate this Meijer on 8 mile because it's massively ghetto. Being right by the bus stop doesn't help. People will sit in the handicap spots at the front of the store and beg. People sleeping right inside on the bench's. People stuffing liqour bottles in their pants eating pre-cooked food and set it o back on the shelves. I went to the panties and there was a dirty pair on the floor and an opened pack. You would think considering the camera it would have been taken care of but nope. And they always cut off my dang cart walking out of the exit and gives my toddler whiplash. Like I literally made eye contact with you and kept walking and you chose not to ask me. Then youll stop my buggy and ask for the receipt. Make it make sense
