When I walked in here I entered an active remodel zone. I almost bypassed the restrooms as there was no signage. I crept back into the small hallway to see if the restrooms were still back there, they were. Just wasn't sure if they were open or under remodel as well. With that out of the way, I figured I could do a once around the store and see if I could snag a deal. Spoiler alert, there were no deals to snag. Like the front of the store, the whole area is an active remodel zone. Walls partially painted, fitting rooms sectioned off, no clearance sections by my account. Needless to say, this was a very quick stop with not a purchase to be had.

We had been shopping all evening for an upholstery vacuum, and figured we'd stop at target for a last ditch effort - ended up being cheaper for a MORE expensive model other places! Once we hit the checkout, Doreen was so helpful and kind, and even though I don't shop at target often, her bubbly personality and willingness to go the extra mile to wrap my items after I picked them just gave me a lil reason to smile. Made the experience so pleasant & shockingly good value.

This is the kind of store I would love to see more of. (Like maybe where I live....fat chance!) The store owner, a very pleasant and engaging gal, operates a clean, informal shop fully stocked with new and used stuff that is priced correctly, which means "fairly priced cheap." No sleight of hand here. I consider myself a seasoned shopper, so as I browsed around, my consistent assessment was that the prices I saw on both food and non-food items were what they should be for bargain hunters like me. This is the kind of store parents should introduce their kids to without fear that their whining might run the risk of a wallet hemorrhage. Indeed, during my visit, I saw lots of happy kids with their parents in tow----not an unpleasant sound from the bunch!
