It feels and is filled with more thrift items then antiques. We went around the store, and found very little high quality items. Amongst the many antique stores we went to on the Shenandoah Antique Trail, this was probably my least favorite. If you're looking for cheap secondhand home goods, Id definitely go here. If you're looking for cheap items to craft with, I'd definitely go here. If you're looking for stuff that's older than 20-30 years old - I'd probably seek out other stores.

On a whim we stopped in for a ten piece box of chicken. It didn't look like much to me as I waited in the car but when we got home it turned out to be really good fried chicken. My wife says the store is more like an old fashioned general store. They have more home baked goods including cakes, pies, cookies etc. local arts and crafts also.

Visiting a friend who had moved nearby in Edinburg, in the morning we stopped in because he knew of their fried chicken. Unfortunately, they had already sold out of what they had prepared, but told us they would be preparing another batch in the afternoon, and we should stop by after 3:00 p.m. We did. Put simply, it was quite possibly the best fried chicken I have ever had. Unbelievably moist and well cooked, with a delicious, slightly spicy (cayenne?) coating. Wonderful. Don't miss it. And the charming, friendly women (who I believe own the place) are the epitome of small town sincere, smiling service.

Our last visit had us leaving with several bags of my favorite unhealthy snack - Snyder's spicy pretzel pieces ("Buffalo Hot" & "Jalapeno") for less than half of what supermarkets charge, canned diced "Muir Glen" tomatoes for $.99 (that's a pittance compared to regular markets), Harry & David's expensive "Moose Munch" caramel popcorns for a pittance - you get the idea. They pretty much have a little of everything from soup to nuts at bargain basement prices. No dents or shoddy or expired stuff - everything is in prime condition. Since it's all overstock, clearance, or discontinued stuff, you can't count on being able to buy the same items when you go, but there's always something new & interesting to browse in the grocery department. Also be sure to check out some really terrific bargains on small appliances & cookware, & as for books - I'm a cookbook collector, & nearly always score a new volume or two when we visit. All at about a third or less of list price. Bottom Line: Interesting place to stop by occasionally for an ever-changing array of inexpensive finds. And if you sign up for their free rewards program, you get extra discounts on the already well-discounted prices.

Great ideas for Christmas in the book section. I mean, they had an easy 300 books just about cooking. 3x as many for children. Self help, religions, etc. Tons of toys and body, face, hair care. Check the ingredients as always. Check for toxic labels as always. Always check that everywhere!!! Even Mr. Coffee, Coffee Makers have toxins labels. (Don't believe it? Go check). It's on the box on your local Walmart. The entire store, just like Walmart, basically is made, produced or manufactured in China. Not surprising. The store was interesting. I'll say that.

When we went inside, there was a lot to see. There are booths where different vendors sell their treasures. We didn't really see much that we were interested in unfortunately. That's pretty unusual for us. The staff also wasn't particularly friendly. No one said anything to us when we walked in and the desk is at the door. That's also unusual. I felt a little underwhelmed but hopefully a visit in will be more promising for someone else.

They went through some terrible times but worked hard and held on till the vary end. They donated a great amount to various charitys over the years and did their best to help the community in times of need. Though many of their acts of kindness went unnoticed by the public with some going as far as to shame them for their race and spew unwarranted hate in their direction the people who ran and operated Valley discount still did their best to help people and other small businesses in the winchester area. Though they are gone I will not forget them and all that they have done.

When we first came to the door at 11:45 am it was still closed and the paper on the door says that they open at 12pm. Just as we were heading back to the car the owner open the door and invited us in a bit early which was nice of him. Looking around you will find a lot of variety of items such pet supply, car items, jewelry, pillows, and more at a discount. After walking around we found some items that interested us and paid at the register. They have a big parking lot so no issues there. All in all, my experience here was good and would recommend everyone stop by here before the closed down forever in a few months.
