It wasn't WHAT she said, it was the manner that she said it in. She was abrupt and unpleasant the entire time that I was there. So, I left and I wrote a review on her facebook page agreeing with another reviewer that she was rude. I was not unprofessional in my post on FB, just matter of fact. That was on 09/13/2014. Obviously she saw my post. She did not make an effort to reach out to me and try to remedy the situation. A person with any sort of service background knows that is what you do - mind you I've worked in some sort of service my entire career. No. Instead she started sending me facebook messages. I just noticed these today. I have gotten *3* of them. In three weeks. I have not responded. This person is crazy. Don't shop at the crazy person's shop. Now that I've passed this on, I'll be blocking her. She deleted her facebook page, so I can't very well post it on there. Firstly, it is set up in a poor manner and my mother could barely get through the racks of clothing. Secondly, the owner was disrespectful and rude and made my mother and I feel like we were interrupting her phone call. Lastly, when I reviewed her business on facebook in a professional manner, I was told (and I saved the comment for proof) that their goal is to let people shop in peace because that is how "THEY" like it. I normally go the Dollar Tree in Troy (in the Walmart plaza) but I was on my way to Panera to pick up curbside, and this was the only dollar store in that area. It had kind of an old/funky smell inside. I saw they had cards through the window, so that was encouraging, but their Halloween selection is pretty limited; they maybe had like 10 different card designs to choose from, but 7-8 of those were for little kids (grandkids, children, etc). I ended up buying five for family and friends, and good thing I did because they have a $5 minimum limit for credit cards. The final reason I'm giving them 3 stars: the cashier was not wearing a mask. The man next to him beside the counter was, FWIW. He had a very thin layer of plastic sheeting between me and him, so I'm guessing that's why he thought it was fine ... however, I'm "high risk," so I definitely wiped off my credit card with a wipe when I got back to my car. I wouldn't stop by here again, I will just go to Dollar Tree next time. But they do have a lot of cards (non-Halloween ones) if you need them.
