The cleanliness and organization of this store - well - right now I think it isn't good. The reason - they recently moved everything around and now I don't know where every item is - maybe a good marketing idea, but for me - I hate it! Try to use a bathroom elsewhere because these are not the best or close to it! The people are hit and miss here as far as friendliness - sometimes they are great - other times they aren't. Returns are easy - no questions asked and I mean that. Just make sure you have your receipt. Another good point is the rewards program - and it's getting better they say. I like discounts. Speaking of discounts - this place normally has things that are old - out dated - repaired/refurbished - so if it sounds cheap - keep that in mind and ALWAYS check expiration dates on your perishables - and that includes things you don't eat too! Plenty of parking - it's located in a plaza! Stop in once in awhile because stock continues to change and with that - the item you bought and decided you really liked probably won't be there the next time!

Handicapped people with mobility know the importance of mart carts for shopping. If you're going…read moreto Walmart in Fredonia, NY, you're out of luck! This has been an ongoing issues for months! Dead carts, carts not plugged in to charge, carts setting in the parking lot or abandoned because they died somewhere in the store! Other than Tops, Walmart is the ONLY place in town that provides scooter carts. Now, we can't even depend on those! I'd finally had enough the other day after I picked up a nearly dead cart in the parking lot. I went to complain at the Service desk. There were others their with their own issues. The man working behind the counter raised his voice at everyone and told a girl to shut the lights off, which she did. They then walked off and left everyone standing there! I approached a long time employee to discuss my frustration about this ongoing cart issue. Her answer to me? Well, you know, we don't even have to have carts here. We provide them as a service, but we don't have to WOW, just wow! I asked for the managers name so I could address myself to her directly. I was told Colleen but gee, nobody knew her last name! This Wal mart used to be a great place to shop. Under this manager, it's gone down the tubes. Shelves are bare, shopping carts are full of garbage that employees can't be bothered to remove, customers issues are ignored plus so many more issues Soon, the college kids will be back, joy riding through the store on these essential mobility aids and nobody will say a word! Apparently, handicapped shoppers are not needed, welcomed or respected at Walmart Fredonia. My only recourse is to try to bring my own scooter, which I can't unload and load myself, or drive to Hamburg or Lakewood to cleaner, well stocked, customer oriented shopping experience. Handicapped people deserve more! Do better manager Colleen!

Every time we stop in this little "Gem in Dunkirk" there is something new and different - really unique items. The pricing is really great and your dollar goes a long way here. Some of the items are so hard to find that this might be the only place you will see some of these things. This store if far better then most Thrift stores we've ever been to - so much more that we don't even call it a thrift store - it's definitely a boutique! There is normally parking on the side street - the store itself faces the main road, but it sits on a corner - so parking on the side street is the best place as there is a fire hydrant right out front and no sense giving the City of Dunkirk the money you just saved by shopping at this store. The items you will find in this store range from slightly used clothing (not a huge selection, but something for everyone), household items, books, CD's, toys, seasonal items (GREAT Christmas finds), furniture, TV's that work and are plugged in, and the list just is endless. I almost don't want you to shop here because I can't get everything I want all at once and I'm afraid you will find my stuff and buy it up! However, the owners and their daughter that works there are so friendly and helpful I'd like to see them flourish in this economy. So - I'm willing to share. Right now they have amazing store hours and are open 7 days a week - YES even on Sundays when there is little else to do - take a drive down the scenic route to Dunkirk and stop and and check this place out!

She was extremely friendly and professional and didn't rush us nor push us. She listened to what we wanted and then proceeded to assist rather then go for the sale! The shop is more then just jewelry too! They have some rather nice gifts - amazing clocks if you are into them and some great deals going on right now. The shop also has a nice little place that appears is perfect for the kiddos and it's bright and clean - as most places like this should be. I believe that the most amazing things about this place are the staff-selection-price and ease to get to - right in the heart of the area shopping area. They have plenty of private parking and gladly accept credit cards. I cannot mention what I purchased because I do believe some of those items might be gifts! She then told us that we should have wait outside otherwise it makes the store too crowded. We were like what??? First of all there's barely anyone there! Second there are NO sign nor there are people outside counting how many people come in (like they did at Walmart and few other places to make sure they are not over capacity), third actually the clinic people told us to check out the store. I ordered a simple turkey sub and bought a 20 ounce bottle of soda. After I ate I decided to go to my car and try and sleep for a half hour. Just to get some energy to continue driving. I wanted to get a drink from the fountain since they had blueberry lemonade. I was going to taste some then I realized the smell was awful. Like a port a potty so I passed.
