This location is dingy but has a great selection of greeting cards, crafts and school supplies. Many of the employees need to be more professional. The cashier who rang me up was on a personal cell phone call and the woman whom I asked about the availability of a product sounded irritated helping me. It's an organized store with easy access off the 405. Not many Dollar Trees near me so I'll still shop here. read more

Sell basics home stuff such as Aluminum foil, sink drains, shelf liner, etc. Atmosphere - Clean and well stocked. Plenty of Parking. Service - Good, 2 registers open. Price - $1.25, What!?! First discovery of price increase; see below. Owner Suggestion - Wait, just studied your website and only certain locations changed prices? Culver City, S La Cienega Blvd, and La Brea Ave are all $1.25. Alameda, Oakland, and San Leandro CA locations are $1.25. Your Marina Del Rey is still $1, Reno, NV locations are still $1 - why the difference? Guess everything is still cheaper in NV and Marina Del Rey, CA??? LOL. Not that I want you guys to raise prices, but all your locations should be $1.25 or at min consistent. And of course rename the company to Dollar+ Tree... Came here to pick up kid toy items for a kit I have to make, while the store had some items, it was still limited in what they offered. Everything was pretty generic and the store was not stocked super well. It's a small location for how many people were there and seemed really overwhelmed. A good place to stop for affordable basics but they don't have many options for items. read more

Definitely the best value for poor quality balloons. Okay, I was being cheap and decided to get balloons from this particular location on Jefferson Blvd in Culver City. As I'm driving I notice a couple of the balloons are deflating. I turn around and go right back. I guess it is something they deal with a lot. As soon as I walk in, I'm told I must have "left the balloons in the car and it is really hot outside." It is 10 am and I just got the balloons 15 mins ago. She was very helpful/pleasant in lining up.the pumps on the soap bottles. Not sure if this location is closed permanently or what. Yelp says they are open but "closed". Store hours show they close at 4pm. Today is Thursday. As I approached a register that was about be ready for the next customer, I was yelled out by some miserable looking employee at the adjacent register. Told me to get back in line and wait until I was called. The people behind me were shocked and felt bad for me. Then this same employee yelled again across the floor letting us know to stand away from all fire exit lanes. Mind you, this location is small and has no clear line queues. What is going on in this store! The most ghetto trap in our neighborhood. The essentials are constantly non stock. Who is the buyer? Why is it been so depleted? Nothing but garbage in it. Not a broom, or toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and basic household goods. This is the third time, I walked in and walked out. Constantly, with homeless outside, nothing against homeless, life is tough and I am blessed. Now, our neighborhood depends greatly on this store. You raised the prices to $1.25 and $3.00 for some others, but it is highly under stocked and looks like hell. Bad enough management is the worst. What's going on? I get horrible attitude from the majority of the cashiers who work here. Tonight was the cherry on top. I got off work at 8:50 trying to get to dollar tree down the street. I got here at 8:56 and the doors were locked when they're supposed to close at 9pm. I knocked on the door and Jennifer screamed that's the registers were close. I informed her that it was 857pm and that they're supposed to close at nine. Jennifer purposely chose to ignore me and I watched her close the third register. Once she finished closing the third register, she informed me that all the registers are closed and she cannot open the doors because it is now 9 o'clock. I literally watched her close the registers while standing outside before closing. Very disappointed and I will be calling corporate. Wish I could give zero stars. read more

I purchased some items yesterday and came in today to make an exchange and was told that I cannot make the exchange because the items were seasonal. It's a nice Dollar Tree for the area, although at times for certain items can get picked dry. I usually only go if it's early morning, but traffic can be horrendous! Thank God for the back streets. Easy to get to, ample parking and customer service times I've been there has been allright. The only pet peeve (here I go) are the rudeness I experienced there w/the other shoppers, more than once. You get some snooty people whose heads are up their behinds and will run into you and won't say "excuse me" or mad dog you as if your the one at fault. Also some impatient people that walk up there after they see a line and still manage to squeeze their way to a register that's about to open. Wow. My friend and I dig the Dollar Tree, it is always good for a laugh, to walk around and see what you discover/find & spruce up your home for the holidays on the cheap. Yesterday (09-20-2012) my friend and I visited the Dollar Tree to stock up on Halloween decorations and during our visit came across a few choice finds (pictures attached). This Dollar Tree is large, clean and the staff is very helpful & knowledgeable as to where particular items are located in the store. We loaded up LARGE glow in the dark skeletons, spiders, cobweb for the trees, fake tombstones, blowup cats & pumpkins, hanging skeletons, hanging ghosts and several others Halloween decorations. My girlfriend went a bit nuts shopping but still at checkout time it was only $34 bucks, any other store like Target it would of cost of $100. We will continue to visit the dollar tree for all of our holiday needs & decorations. read more

So let's play a game of Reasons Why Dollar Tree is Better Than The 99¢ Only Store: - The stores are cleaner and more organized - The item selections are nicer and higher quality - The staff is friendlier and more helpful - I think that extra 1¢ we're spending is totally worth it! :) All I really needed today was a gift bag, gift tissue, and ribbon. The staff is friendly and efficient. Tasha helped me locate a photo album as she was multitasking organizing the aisles. I am planning a birthday party and found so many ideas for an Hawaiian theme - plastic table clothes with blue shell design, felt placemats in shell design, wall decorations, plastic plates, ice cream bowls, straws, napkins, balloons, coasters, candle holders, jars of shells and much more. I also purchased school supplies, arts and crafts materials for four, young grandchildren - scissors, poster boards, pencils, markers, note pads, paints, construction paper, lined tablets and much more. I also purchase pairs of glasses which my eye surgeon recommended versus buying from an optician because Dollar Store glasses are as good for my needs and a better value.
