You also have a good selection of holiday decorations and party favors. There is always something of a questionable nature that can be given as a gag gift and you manage to suck me in with your brand-name candies as well. You could have warned me that the NY Knicks plastic cup I bought was cracked at the register...but I suppose that it's in your favor to leave me out-of-the-loop so that I get stuck with a leaky cup and you don't have to let me exhange per your "all sales final" policy. I want my $1.05 back! Also, please note that we did figure out that trash bags were only a dollar because there are only 4 per package. That's lame. At least make it somewhat worth the dollar by putting like, 10 in there. I think it would boost sales of trash bags. I'll forgive those transgressions as I have to come back to buy my holiday wrap and get my 2 for 1 giant gift bags. And grab some travel size shampoos and body washes. So, for now, we remain friends. I went in today to…read morespend $4,000-$5,000 on furniture locally to support small business and he was extremely upset people keep asking to buy his floor display models. I inadvertently made the mistake of apparently being the 100th person to do so in an attempt to help them during what I thought were challenging times. I completely understand I perhaps foolishly assumed all local businesses have been struggling. He and his nephew made it abundantly clear he doesn't have furniture in stock and you have to order. ETAs are this summer at best, but the companies they buy from only give him a 1 month at a time window with no guarantees. After he was done yelling at me, I said that I should post a review of my experience and he said "Please do", so here it is. If I hadnt been yelled at, I would have ordered and waited, as I have bought all my furniture there over the years. If you need something, do not offer to buy a floor model to help them out. They have plenty of money and don't need the business.

All the normal out of date, closeout and clearance items. Good clothing, appliances, tools, San Marzano Tomatoes, vacuums, international foods, bulk, you name it - it is here. They even have a separate building just for tools, and outdoor- yard type of stuff. This store is across the street from another discount store on Rt 12- the Discount Grocery.

this isn't the kind of place you visit new hampshire for but in my world it's the kind of place you…read moreknow is part of your world, so you check it. truth be told, your humble narrator has spent a few evenings sleeping under bridges after wandering into discount stores for a can of dinner, maybe new socks. cheap is essential to underclass-men whether named "pay less" or "dirt cheap" or "bi-lo" or "thrifty mart" or on urban streets of cheap like canal or 14th or lower broadway. maybe even you once had occasion to cruise similar straits? perhaps your lesser told tales from the 60s when the mind wasn't quite right for awhile, one reason or another. times do wound all heels. but this isn't my first stop here, as i'm in this part of new england with some frequency. so this job lot is one of my usual stops, today not of necessiry but just now when i passed by i thought of writing about it because it's worth a mention. This is perhaps the best cheap store of them all, only way things could be cheaper would be free, or lifted. the floor space is considerable, not costco or walmart size but surely close to 20,000 sq ft of rows of everything you can imagine. what i like at places like job lot is these items aren't part of some large corporate purchase order for generic crap, made by a supplier of generic crap. no, there are actually many producers, usually offshore, of good quality items of their kind. the only problem is, the market here is tough and not every product that's offloaded at the dock gets to play on the big grocers' stage. so whoever bought the container load at super discounted price gets to sell it to places like this, if in fact the job lot didn't actually buy the container directly at auction. that's more or less how it works, and is more or less the reason the products here are superior to whatever walmart sells and usually at a higher price as well. so that's about it, how it works. and i like this place very much for any number of reasons. but really, it needs a photo to show some respect so here for what it's worth is one. should be more...

When asked to pull it up he did not pull over his nose. A customer walked in and was shopping with no mask even though it was clearly posted. He was not stopped. Instead of carrying off brands or anything interesting, they had the same name brand stuff at mediocre prices. Compared to the Shaw's down the road, they're probably a decent deal, but not compared to Market Basket and especially not to Discount Food Warehouse/Mr G's. I bought a pair of kids shoes there the same quality and price as I would expect at Walmart or Payless, so there's that, but I don't see any reason to go back.
