This chain is all about bargains that can save you lots of money if you buy them here rather than going to other stores and paying more for the same things. This is the place to shop for great discounts. This Dollar Tree is in Cambridge Square, and all of the small businesses share a large and free parking lot. Seasonal merch is strategically placed so that they are the first things that customers see. After that, depending on which aisle the customers walk through, they'll could see housewares, kid's toys, games and books, personal care items, hair and skin products, things for your pets, and a whole lot more items. If you're looking for groceries or clothing, there are limited supplies of canned and boxed foods, and clothing looked like it was extremely limited only to socks. The only things that are refrigerated are individual cold beverages. You won't find anything fresh, like fruits or vegetables. Customers will find a large snack and candy aisle filled with many popular items that are priced a whole lot higher at other stores. For a store that gets picked over throughout the day, everything is kept generally organized. This store is clean. Due to inflation, the minimum prices have gone up to $1.25, which is the price of most of the items in inventory, although I believe some of the items were priced at $3 and $5. There are many name brand items scattered throughout the store, but most of the items sold here are have brands that are not well known, with packaging that are similar to the name brands. This is thee most ghetto Dollar Tree ever. The store is always a mess and inventory non-existent WHEN THEY ARE OPEN. So many tripping hazards in the store. Dollar Tree is a Fortune 500 company with an annual gross of over 20 billion and operating over 14,000+ stores in about 48 states. Clark Howard (Atlanta's own money guru) is a big fan of the place and often sings their praises on his shows. For years I avoided the place because I thought all they sold were cheapie junk that were made in 3rd world countries. Then I read an article that said that Dollar Tree now is making a conscious effort to carry as much "Made in the USA" products as they can....now I love the place. Not only do they carry name brand stuff like purse size Tylenol and TSA approve size toothpaste but they also carry old time snacks/candies that will keep your dentist in business. Oh and they carry these waterless toothbrush which are the greatest things ever invented! I first discovered them when I was in Japan and bought back a bunch of them. Then after I used up my stash I went about looking for them....well it turns out Dollar Tree has these puppies and they are great! Clean, friendly staff, and pretty well stocked. This is a Dollar tree that's pretty out of the way for me, but i've gone here a couple of times when I was in the area. It's a bit more convenient than the next door kroger, if you want to pop in and out quickly for something that costs a buck. True enough, I have seen much larger dollar tree locations that sold a bit more items than this location, so it's not the best dollar tree i've seen. Still, it's solid, both in location and convenience. Located off of Johnson Ferry road, this is a small strip anchored by kroger, so the lot is pretty big making parking issues non-existent. Several exits onto Johnson Ferry road make it pretty easy to get out. Do yourself a favor and check Dollar Tree out! read more

Totally agree with Erin W. on Dollar Tree. The boy digs this place so I got introduced to it recently, and I've gotta say it's pretty swell!! So true about how much further your money goes than at, say, Target, but even better - they have some of the EXACT same stuff that my beloved Target does. Hmm, hard to justify spending more for cute things like these little "popcorn" cups for the kids to use special at Dad's house, or for staples like hand cream I love (the rich Udder Cream - you know that kind in the cow-print tube? - is actually sold at Dollar Tree!) or bar soap I'd pick up elsewhere for more moola. Another plus is that you can buy cleaning supplies for a steal and things like their Oxy laundry detergent are available in good "flavors" for sensitive skin like mine. Wow - smart idea to place a Dollar Tree here. So many people pass by this strip and Dollar Tree is next to Kroger! Parking - A huge lot. It is shared by other shops but that shouldn't deter/worry you at all. You'll find a spot. Worst case scenario: you park a little further away. So- I'm the type of person to buy gift bags/tissues/any Holiday stuff I give to people at a Dollar Store. Why? Kroger/other shops charge like 3-6 bucks per item! Insane. Plus no one notices where you got the gift bags, lol. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who does this -- when I walked in I saw at least 10 people shopping for the same items I needed. I'm a recent convert to this establishment. While it does seem silly to rate it so highly, I find myself coming here once a month or so for specific products. I almost always come here before parties, and there are a lot of cheap-y type gifts I get for when I throw contests at my parties. (Like puppy puzzles, or other cheap, silly things.) But honestly, what I purchase the most here would be cards, wrapping paper, holiday decorations, and party supplies. Here's a good example: for Halloween, I was throwing a party, and I went to Michael's and picked up a few things, then came here awards to get plates and such. Michael's had skeleton banners, with little plastic skeletons on twine for either $3.99 or $4.99, and the exact same product was at this Dollar Tree. Especially if you have an acumen for creative projects, you can pick up a couple things here and doctor it yourself: making it bloodier, or dirtier, etc. I bought a wreath at Michael's, then came here and decorated the wreath with things. I did this both for Halloween (dangling skeleton, white bird I spray painted black, a bloody hand I made even bloodier) and for Christmas (Christmas flower/berry things, a white bird leftover from Halloween, and other colorful baubles). Another awesome thing to get here would be party decorations and cards. They have a selection of relevant holiday cards, depending on the season (Valentine's Day, Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, etc.), as well as a bunch of cute, funny, and/or sweet birthday cards. A lot of them are even 2/$1. They have party bags and wrapping paper, from Birthday themed ones, to Anniversary and even Baby Shower and Wedding ones, and also just plain colored ones for all occasions. You can get similar ones at other stores, of course, but they tend to be more like $3-4 per piece. Even Walmart has gift wrapping that supersedes the cost of Dollar Tree. PROS: -Very close to my house and job. No more than a 10 minute drive away for me. -It's across from Blackburn Park, which has food trucks on certain days of the week. -Always plenty of parking. -Lots of really good deals on things, from books, to party supplies, and holiday decorations. -Especially good deals on birthday/anniversary/holiday cards, with some being 2/$1. -Workers that aren't assholes. This is weird, because it seems like it's a prerequisite to be an asshole at a store like this. It's kind of unprecedented, which is why I think it's worth a mention. CONS: -Some of the cleaning supplies are cheapy cheap. Like their dish soap is huge, but it doesn't seem to work as well as the same kind at other stores. I'm guessing they cut it with more water or something. THE VERDICT: This place has some really good products for $1, but also some duds. I recommend: wrapping paper, gift bags, holiday decorations, dishes, birthday cards. I'd suggest to stay away from: most beauty products, soap, shampoo, etc. This store is especially useful if you have some kind of crafty nature. You can grab some cheap things here, and really transform them to something more with a bit of elbow grease. I can't really speak on the quality of their food products, though, as I don't eat a lot of prepackaged or canned goods. read more

This is one of the smaller stores that I've been too but the fellow there was quite amusing -- he was flirting with a lady and I totally picked up on it. What was cool is that he wasn't at all phased and I probably helped his future success. I recently went into this Dollar Tree and learned it has a new manager. She's a gem! Very helpful, sweet and if she's the one checking you out, have your payment ready because she is SUPER QUICK! I think her name was Tanya, but not sure. What's better is that I last time went into this store about two months ago, it was a bit of a mess, but this time it's looking way cleaner, better stocked and far better organized. Nobody was sitting around doing nothing or chatting - everyone was working, even the manager! It's wonderful to see someone leading by example and not just telling people what to do. This Dollar Tree has gotten a seriously bad rap but the past few times I've been there it's been pretty good. The store is, unfortunately , understaffed BUT I KNOW a few Dollar Tree employees who have all said the Famlly Dollar buyout was DISASTER for the company. They are actually having to cut payroll at their stores. Well, that's all well and good but news flash: you gotta SPEND money to make money. That's besides the point, though. I met the Store Manager, and she's not a pushover. Dollar Tree's policy is "no refunds, exchanges only with receipt" and she ENFORCES it (IMAGINE THAT, a manager who ENFORCES a store policy!) The store does need a makeover and it does get cluttered from time to time, but it is not the worst I've ever been in. It needs more employees and they need to get rid of a couple of cashiers who are genuinely rude, but something tells me the Store Managers hands are tied because, from what I've seen of her in action, that would have probably happened a long time ago if she was allowed to do that. read more
