There were no signs to specify this as a policy & they did not ask anyone else to leave their purse at the front nor to search it. What if I left my purse upfront & my wallet or cash would have been stolen. I am appalled at the implication that my intention was to steal. I went right up the street to Dollar Tree & spent about $100 on gifts & candies for a Christmas party we are hosting. Just this past Friday I spent $90 at a Family Dollar in Ellenwood off Fairview Rd with the same purse & no one said anything to me about leaving my purse upfront. My household brings in over 6 figures, I own rental properties among other things therefore I have no need to steal. This chick walks to the front of the store & opens the door and asks me to leave! I am soooo offended & I called corporate, held on a hour and ten mins & finally someone picks up gets my info & says she will call me back after calling the store - has not happened no one gas called me back yet. The only associate name I got was Santrea because her badge was turned forward & she was the initial person harrassing me about it - even the casheir would not give me the location number when I asked. She told me to look on the the exterior window which only had the address digits on there. I am truly embarrassed and offended. I posted on facebook as well as Instagram to voice my hurt & embarrassment about this situation. A patron who witnessed this mess gave me her receipt so I could get the store info for the actual location - Store # 00231 @ 5403 Old National Hwy College Park Ga 30337. Over the years I have spent plenty of money at this specific location & even this past Friday at the Ellenwood location I mentioned earlier I spent about $90 but I promise this will be my last!!!! #familydollar #allblackpeopledonotsteal #familydollarsucks My next step is to file a grievance with the BBB. The store is closing closing, Though the store is closing it is not in disarray. The aisles are still unkempt, though some are empty. Also, they have begun to use the empty shelves to spotlight some of the things that are in abundance. The Discounts range from 10% - 50% and even with the 10%, you can feel it in your pocket. Though I wasn't looking for anything in particular I still left with a cart full of stuff. LoL! Don't ask me how but when I saw it and it made sense, I needed it. I spent the night over a friend's house and slept in this bed like a baby. I had to ask her where she purchased this mattress. Her answer was Big Lots. I waited faithfully until they had their Black Friday sale. It actually started well before the holiday. My daughter and I made our way to the store on this day to buy beds for both of us. We got to the store and immediately found the furniture section. We had a lot of questions and the store associate was patient with us totally. It was easy to pick out which mattress we wanted because we were able to try them out at the store. Yes literally laid on the bed and rolled around until we found the one we wanted. Let me tell you I have not regretted this purchase at all since I took my bed home. Omg heaven. No complaints.
