This is being hailed online and on…read moreYoutube as the best budget bike of the season, so I looked online and this was the only Metro store that had one in stock anywhere (I'm coming from St. Cloud) so I ordered online for curbside pickup. Upon arriving I was kind of surprised I was getting an assembled bike (a floor model) rather than a new bike in a box. Knowing how hard it is to find one in stock, I went ahead and accepted it. It's been kind of a piece of garbage. Whomever assembled it did just a terrible job. The front brakes don't work AT ALL. The rear brakes barely touch and only serve to slightly slow you down on a flat street. You can't actually come to a stop without putting your feet down. And the shifting is rough and is off somehow, you can't use all the gears. I'd take it back but no one else has one in stock. There's nothing for me to swap it for. I'm going to have to take it to a proper bike shop to have it correctly rebuilt. Very, very disappointed.

It's a cluster of items like any other dollar store but the prices are all over the place for it to be a discount store. Sometimes it's better to just go somewhere else and get a bit better quality for a reasonable price. They do have exclusive to DG snacks which is cool. I haven't seen any worth grabbing in a while but they used to do Exclusive Pringles every summer. Generally don't have any high hopes. You might find something good, you might not.

They've turned into a big box store where the customer is apparently always wrong and suspected of criminal activity or something. I rented a carpet cleaner and it took over 30 minutes for customer service to write up the rental agreement. There was no line it just took so long to write up the paperwork. I was patient. He tried finding a machine that was clean and each machine he grabbed he said was dirty, I said, 'That's okay, I don't mind if it's dirty. My dirt is gonna run through it, too anyway." I let it go, no big deal. (All of machines were there) This was a Saturday morning when I came in to rent. I asked the salesman what time did they open the next day, which was going to be Sunday and he told me 8:00am. I said, "Perfect I will drop it off before church tomorrow." I came in the next morning at 8:00 and they were closed and store sign said they opened at 9:00 am. I didn't think to check the storefront sign the day before since the salesman said they opened at 8:00 am. I didn't think I needed to double check what I was told. Now I had a choice, I either waited there until 9:00 and skipped church or come with the machine right after church. I decided to go to church and come in right afterwards. A lady greeted me and even though I cleaned the inside of the machine she found dirt and hair on the wheels and was going to charge me and extra $40. I was dumbfounded. Never did I expect to stand there while she inspected the machine. True Value never did that. You just dropped it off and they waved at you like you were best friends. Now they inspect the machine like you're a bad customer and the culprit of a crime. She took a cleaner from behind the counter and some paper towels and brought the machine outside and started spraying and wiping the machine while she scolded me from bringing in a dirty machine and her boss was going to be mad at her for helping me avoid the $40 extra charge by cleaning it for me. I happily grabbed the spray and a towel pitched in the rid the carpet cleaner of my dirt and filth (right on the front step of the store while people walked in and out). I told her the salesman couldn't find a clean machine the day before and I took a dirty one because I don't expect it to be pristine. She ignored me because I am a criminal not a customer. I also mentioned that I was told the store opened at 8:00 am and I was there at 8:00 but found out store opened at 9:00 and that's why I am late because I didn't want to miss church. She also ignored me. She kept repeating herself that if her boss saw her helping me, she was going to be in trouble. She was really sticking her neck out for me. I mean it didn't take me long to realize that this poor lady after all she was aiding and abetting a stinking small town crime. I sure hope she got off with a warning. A day or so later, I checked my bank account and she charged me for a 2-day rental. The paperwork she returned to me did not say she was charging me another day. ACE is just another big box rental store. Does not care about the customer. I will be going to Mound True Value instead. Delano True Value would have never done any of that. True Value was not slow, misguiding customer, or eager to catch the customer in wrongdoing. Also I just remembered, a year ago I had to rent a cleaner from the local Delano Rental (True Value had theirs all rented already) and I asked them about returning rental on Sunday and I told them the timing doesn't work because I go to church and they said bring it in after church, we won't charge you another day and guess what, they didn't. I do not recommend renting from Delano ACE. I will rent and purchase elsewhere.

Although the parking can get full on the weekends as it shares a lot with Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. We love going into the store, just to browse the various home decor and gift items. They always have a great selection of unique things for holidays. Our favorite spot in the store is towards the back where they have a huge variety of foods from outside the United States, including lots of snacks, and candies to try. This is also where we get all of our flavored coffee syrups as they have a huge selection for a very reasonable price. If you're in the area and have a little time to spend, or are looking for a unique gift, definitely consider world market as a place to check out.

That said, this location seems to have issues getting and keeping employees and has since they opened within the last few years. And the ones they do have right now? Kind of rude, they hide in the back, and you don't see them until they see they need to ring people out. There's 3 self checkout registers and none of them are ever open; I used them twice during the first 3 months of this location being open, never to have used them again, resulting in some INSANE lines as they make the single employee check out everyone on a tiny lil' counter that doesn't fit more than 3 items at a time on it (this is true for ALL of their registers/counters; that one is actually the biggest one). My biggest peeve is the young man with dark brown/black hair. Taller, average build. I just heard him ask an obviously disabled (judging not only by her speaking and demeanor, but noticeable scarring all over her body as well) girl why she shopped the way she did, grabbing many items only to need to buy only a few. I swore she was going to cry. All in all, a decent store. No problems with the store itself beyond checkout, really. The employee issue has been an ongoing problem since day one it seems, though.

They were still working on putting items on the shelves, so there were a lot of carts out in the aisles. The plus side is that they had A TON of variety. This was like a little grocery store but also had some decor items, baby items(diapers,food,wipes) Holiday items, ect.... There is tons of parking and self check out for a quick in and out! Overall I will use this place in a pinch, but I still prefer dollar tree for quick and cheap items.
