It was about an hour from their house. Keim's sells Amish made furniture (indoor and outdoor). And they had a bakery, deli and lots of food items such as jelly, candy, sauces, pickled items and much more! From the bakery we purchased a half dozen of their huge donuts, cinnamon buns, peanut butter cookies and chocolate nut fudge. From the grocery store my Dad purchased a large jar of apple butter. And from the deli we ordered a Kahns bologna, Italian and chicken salad sandwiches. My fav was the chocolate glazed cream filled donut! Don't get me wrong, it was all delish! I had the Italian on herb bread and it was huge! I ate half for lunch and saved the rest for dinner. My parents did the same. And the ingredients were super fresh right down to the bread. I recently heard about the story of Jungle Jim's starting as just a humble food stand in the 70s, which over time expanded to the attraction that it is today. It's not every day you see a store this size that's not owned by a billion-dollar international corporation. They're Cincinnati locals, family owned, made their success, and continue to provide value and entertainment to the families that visit. It's great to see. If you plan to visit, expect to be there for at least a couple of hours!
