My shopping experience today was lacking professional behavior and respect from the employee/manager. I shopped around the store and used the store's app to check prices. Clearance shelves had regular priced items on the 11 products I actually scanned. I guess clearanced shelves are used as extra space for extra products. I picked up clearanced Halloween items, gum, and toothpastes. I had a digital coupon for the gum and two paper manufacturer's coupons to use on the toothpastes. The employee started to check out the products, stopped to text on his phone. Then he was on a call to a few other Dollar General stores warning them and said pull your Halloween stuff, penny shoppers are out. Three customers were in line behind me waiting. The employee started back ringing up the items I was waiting to pay for the products after using my coupons. I put my phone number in to get digital coupon off then handed him my two manufacturer's coupons for toothpastes. He scanned them, folded them, and slid it in the slot for coupons on his register. He turned and asked me for the tooth paste. I searched the bags and gave him one. He then looked for the toothpaste on his monitor. He turned and told me I got the wrong toothpaste because the 3 D white toothpaste I grabbed cost $1 each and my coupon was for $2 off. I said ok. He mumbled something. He let me pay for the products and ripped receipt while trying to give it to me. Mumbled something again. I just left. read more
