The staff informed us that this is the original location, so it's the smallest of the three in town, but there was so much to look at! I can't wait to check out the larger locations! All of the staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. Everything was pretty well organized and not too overwhelming. There is definitely a lot inside, but in my opinion, you don't feel crowded and can easily look around for hours in here. All of the prices are wonderful as well! Make sure you pay attention to the sale sign posted on the wall as you walk in past the front counter. When we were there it was 50% off of items tagged after a certain date. The owners are personable and friendly. A definite place to make a stop by if you are into thrifting and are in the Ellsworth IA area!

To avoid any issues, I then provided my U.S. passport,literally one of the most official forms of identification possible, and was AGAIN told they couldn't verify it. At that point, it stopped feeling like a misunderstanding and started feeling extremely targeted and discriminatory. Being told that BOTH forms of government-issued identification were somehow not acceptable was beyond unreasonable and honestly humiliating. The way this situation was handled lacked professionalism, respect, and basic human decency. I left feeling singled out and uncomfortable, and I genuinely believe the treatment I received could be perceived as racial profiling. Policies are one thing, but treating customers with dignity should be the bare minimum. I hope management seriously addresses this so nobody else has to experience what I did.
