First off, I love Kroger. I have always been a huge fan of Kroger especially Starkville Kroger. I…read morehave no idea what is going on with this location, but I am so very disappointed. Over the past three months, I have consistently experienced problems that make shopping here frustrating and unsatisfactory. * Pickup delays: On multiple occasions, my scheduled pickup orders have not been ready until the following day. This is a problem because I live an hour away! It is frustrating to make it half way to the store only to receive an automated text stating my order will not be ready until the next day! Gas is not cheap, and I am a poor teacher. I mean seriously, just turn off the pickup times once you reach your limit for that time slot! * Missing items: Once, I drove all the way home only to discover that 20 items were missing from my order. No one offered an apology or resolution beyond a simple refund. Yet again, I live an hour away. Customer service suggested "Oh it's sitting right here. Just come back and get it." They truly acted as if it were my fault that the items were left out and I was inconveniencing them. (My bad. I guess I should have counted each individual item as we loaded them into my trunk-yes. WE. I always get out and help! * Poor product quality: The fresh produce I receive is often moldy or spoiled, which is unacceptable. Not once. Not twice. But every single time I order strawberries they are covered in fuzzy mold. * Customer service: The pickup employees are frequently rude and unhelpful, which only adds to the frustration. I have been a loyal Kroger customer because of the convenience and quality I've come to expect. Unfortunately, this location is falling far below that standard. I am asking that Kroger address these issues promptly and take steps to improve the pickup service, product quality, and customer service at the Starkville store. I hope to continue shopping with Kroger, but unless these problems are resolved, I will be forced to take my business elsewhere.

They had cosmetics, some office supplies, baby items, a pretty decent selection of cereals/breakfast food, a good range of snacks/crackers/chips, and a really nice produce section. They also have a small section set aside for MSU gear, which was pretty neat as well. Checkout moved quickly (there are self checkout lines here too!) and the employee who helped check me out was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend visiting here! I'll be back often, since there's cheap gas and since it is in such a convenient location from campus.

The people of Starkville deserve better. The pumps at the gas station always have issues with the card readers, including debiting money from your account. This Kroger is rough, rough, rough. I stopped in here only out of convenience...I had an errand to…read morerun nearby. I suppose I was not particularly surprised to find only about an eighth of an aisle's worth of organic food. The produce section was pathetic...there was an unnerving number of fruit flies hovering throughout. I was looking for bagged kale, but they didn't have it. I also looked for hazelnuts and pepitas in the produce section and then, not finding it there, went to the baking section, which also didn't have it. The fresh cilantro I bought felt heavy with water, which I presume was intended to keep it fresh, but by the time I got it home, it was soggy and gross. It amazes me how the Kroger brand appears to invest so much in some locations, but let others like this one go at least 20 years without even updating the signage. If this were the first Kroger I ever went into, I would probably never go to another. They should keep that in mind.
