A sign for a usb charger had the wrong price, and I pointed out the discrepancy. I said fair is fair and if a sign lists a specific price it should honor that price. He said that is not how this country works and how does he know that I didn't change the sign? Tbh I think this border town has a long ways to go when it comes to Navajo and white relations. And for the public at large. Here is a statement: A Dollar General spokesperson told Insider the company "is committed to providing customers with accurate prices on items purchased in our stores, and we are disappointed any time we fail to deliver on this commitment. When a pricing discrepancy is identified, our store teams are empowered to correct the matter on the spot for our customers." They should tell that to Santa in Holbrook. Thumbs down.

The true star here, though, is their hot case. Do yourself a favor and also pick up a dozen tamales ($1.79/ea). Our favorite with the MCJ/jalapeño cheese ones. A close second were the beef. The chicken were merely acceptable by comparison. The best thing, though, was the roasted lamb ribs ($6.99/lb). Rendered in the hot case all day, they were tender, moist, flavorful, and came with enough napkins you won't leave handprints all over the car. If you like them extra salty, like a normal human being, ask for a few packets of salt, it truly made the experience.
