I no longer purchase much fresh fruit here, because what's on the floor is moldy or clearly about to go moldy any second. I got burned more than once this year buying strawberries that looked iffy but still ok (because that was all they had), only to get them out of the fridge the next morning to find the container full of mold. I've also had issues with shelved food, such as chocolate bars that I opened to find had clearly completely melted at some point. Today, I ended up leaving again without items on my shopping list, because everything they had out was spoiled. Bunches of cilantro with all the leaves blackened and slimy, moldy and mushy onions, beef that has turned totally gray in the packaging, and no distilled water left on the shelf. It also seems like a lot of the regular employees I had gotten used to seeing are no longer there. To me, it seems like a serious management problem that needs to be addressed ASAP.

The next option is about 15 miles out of town. I'm a steak and potatoes kind of person and I've been spoiled up in NoVA and New York by places like Wegmans and Martin's (taking after the Wegmans model with its latest stores). I could go to the meat counter and get custom cuts if I wanted them. Then I moved to Creedmoor, NC. Even my last visit to this Food Lion, I went in to find what was on sale in the meat department, specific cuts of steaks. There was very little to be found, and what was there I wasn't willing to buy - thin steaks or extremely poor quality (old) meat. Nobody was willing to pay attention from the meat service dept. What is even more exasperating is the prices - Food Lion further north was known for being a bit on the inexpensive side, but here it seems like the priciest (and only) game around. I'll travel to Raleigh to do my grocery shopping and avoid this place if at all possible. My only visits now are if I'm in a pinch for a specific ingredient.

Holiday section is smaller than most but it still has plenty to choose from. There is a Pharmacy and Bakery in this store, too. It's not far from the 40 exit. This is a great store and is laid out like the store in Morrisville where I usually go . They no longer have the burger/ sandwich grill but do still have the area where you can sit and eat. There are many other ways to get something to eat there and it was clean when I was there. I was pleased to find many items that I can't find in other stores. The prices are as good or better than the discount stores on many items! I have tried several of the wegman paper products and have been happy with them all. Again, cheaper than the discount grocery stores. A nice shopping experience!

I don't usually review grocery stores, but I genuinely love Wegmans, and this location in particular is fantastic. The store is always immaculate, the staff are consistently friendly and helpful, and it's usually very well stocked every time I go. I'll agree with other reviewers that Wegmans can feel a little pricier than some other grocery stores, but I've never actually sat down and compared receipts because, frankly, I love the products they carry. At this point, I'm a forever Wegmans girlie. Also, they keep sending me 10% off coupons, so apparently the marketing team knows exactly what they're doing -- because I absolutely will drive farther than necessary for a good grocery experience. Beyond the standard grocery selection, their prepared foods section is HUGE, and the sushi is genuinely good. Grocery store sushi can be a gamble, but Wegmans does it so well they even opened their own sushi restaurant in NYC, which is a pretty fun flex. As a bonus, they carry all the essential Western New York staples: Chiavetta's sauce, Spiedie sauce, kummelweck rolls, Zweigle's whites and reds, Bills merch, Weber's mustard, Labatt Blue and Blue Light, plus several Finger Lakes wines. I'll immediately tell you that my star bump is because of cost and no dining at this location ("trust me bro", that's not really a major deciding factor). I've been to locations that offer up dining and amazing draft beer options, and costs at Wegmans aren't for the faint of heart but, in my Jim Carey voice, "lemme tell you somethinnnnn" ... their options will appease all types of food diets. Hands down, they have the BEST sushi options around. Fresh rolls, fresh sashimi, fresh nigiri ... the freshest and best you'll get at a non-Asian grocery store. Now you'll pay close to restaurant prices but it's well worth it. That is why I keep coming back to this location. And for beer and wine snobs, they got yo butt covered! I'd say 10-15% of the store is just wine and beer. Domestic and Foreign, as well as local. Gluten free brats, eat your heart out! I wandered down the gluten free aisle and got me some goodies! Gluten free Oreos and cereal . Wegmans brand is like a top tier option from Publix brand. And that's saying a lot, considering Publix brand is a galaxy away from Kroger brand.
