Great selection and mission but don't expect thrift prices. For a business that seemingly runs off…read moredonations they tax heavily on product. Who is paying $50+ for an old preowned leather jacket? At a thrift store at that. I found the exact jacket size and all for cheaper on eBay. Was told at the counter they "do their own research" on items but at what point is it just an antique store not a thrift store if they price off resellers? Bear in mind they got these products for free. Their sourcing literally walks through the door.

My son and I looked around and I found glasses I needed for a dollar a piece. I was exited because this was something I needed and would save me a lot of money. There's been a lot of talk about Trosa Thrift store around town lately. I've seen it all over…read moresocial media so a friend and I decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon. Trosa is located on Peters Creek Hwy in the Food Lion strip center at the Clemmonsville exit. It's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking which I love. Right inside the door is their whole furniture section, they have tons of tables, chairs, dressers , etc. they even have a whole section of office specific furniture. The prices are very reasonable. This would be a furniture flippers paradise. Towards the back they have shelves of everything from pillows to whole sets of dishes, sports equipment and the most medical mobility equipment I've ever seen anywhere. I'd say, if you are in need of a walker, a bath seat or portable toilet for someone look here because they probably have it at a fraction of the cost it would be to purchase new or rent. The clothing is grouped all together but they aren't keeping it organized as well as it needs to be. All different sizes were mixed in together and I quickly got frustrated and gave up. Both of us had found an item in the kitchen area we wanted so we headed to check out. The workers were very friendly as well. I'll definitely be checking out Trosa regularly in the future. Trosa supports substance abuse treatment. If you want to donate to them, they offer pick up for larger items or you can bring your items to their donation drop off around the back of the store. Just follow the signs.

From crab legs to wild caught shrimp to stuffed salmon. It's all good here! I also love their bakery selection. They even have sugar free baked goods for diabetics. They have it shipped in twice a week from a special supplier. The cupcakes are my fave! The only reason why I did not give them 5 stars (even though I want to) is because they are VERY pricey. But please know that they do have good sales! Their marked down areas are my fave. Like a huge bag of potatoes for only $2....or a ton of lemons for $1. Things like that! Oh and I absolutely LOVE their plant selection. I've gotten 3 out of my 4 plants here. They are so healthy and truly flourishing!

Black Friday is a liquidation store with items ranging from cosmetics, toys, clothing, small…read morehousewares and more. I believe most of the stuff comes from Target. There are rows of bins and you have to dig deeper in some than others. There are also items lining the walls that are separately priced than whatever "dollar day" amount is advertised. I've been on $10, $4 $3 and $1 days. (Where everything in the bins in that price) I have found the best stuff for the best deal on $1 days. Mostly kids items and cosmetics. My only real complaint is they allow shopping carts. The aisles are tight, the place isn't very big and the carts take up the aisles and I've been many times where I can't get down any aisle due to the amount of people using carts. They have baskets which is great and I wish more people utilized those instead of carts. Overall it's worth checking out on various dollar days to see what deals you can get.

Someone gave me the head's up about the Hospice Flea Market. First off, I didn't really know where Haw River was. And the first time I took the trek out trying to find it, it seemed like I was lost. And then there it was--this HUGE thrift store in an understated shopping mall. We walked in and there is a huge variety of nearly everything! Books are nicely organized and rightly priced. Need some holiday decor--they have plenty! If you need anything for someone who has been incapacitate or needs additional nursing care, you're likely to find it here. What you WON'T FIND is clothing!!!!! So if you're looking for that, keep on driving and go to their sister-store in Burlington (Hospice League Clothing Store). So who doesn't mind paying a premium price for that? Check it out! And support them.
