They were all just standing around while the lines got longer. I asked the supervisor what the issue was, she said she was getting more cashiers. Finally they came and opened the registers but it took too long and the supervisor should have jumped behind a register to help the frustrated customers waiting. After all the cashiers opened so did the supervisor.

The four outlet shopping centers are located within walking distance of each other, so you can park once and shop all day. Parking is free and plentiful, while pedestrian crosswalks make it safe and easy to zigzag across Route 9 in search of the latest bargains. Yes, half of the stores are across the busy road so you can road is diving this outlet in two parts. It is located just off Exit 20 of the Adirondack Northway (I-87) and only two miles south of Lake George Village. Each center has public restrooms, an ATM machine, and vending machines filled with cold drinks. Tip: don't be confused, While this entire half-mile strip is referred to as "The Outlets", there are currently four distinct centers: Adirondack Outlet Mall, French Mountain Commons, Log Jam Outlet Center and The Outlets at Lake George East and West. Spend your day perusing the miles of aisles at this massive shopping complex on State Route 9 in Lake George.

The traffic getting in and out can be challenging, and we sat in said traffic for about a half mile given that the road is single lane in each direction and the stores get crowded. This is the face of the mall situation in America, many store closures and vacant space. Only a couple anchor departement stores remain (Target, Sears, JC Penney, Dicks) and a movie theater. The Bon Ton has now closed as well. There are a few other businesses that can be interesting such as Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret and Planet Fitness gym however there isn't really much to spend money on. The mall is spread out and quite spacious however as you walk through the empty areas it just has a depressing vibe and doesn't entice you to stay inside. Unfortunately, because there aren't enough good stores to generate foot traffic, I suspect the smaller businesses will just keep on shutting down. There is only 1 restaurant and 1 fast food option a the tiny food court, so definitely don't plan to spend an afternoon here. I walked through the whole thing and was in and out in about half an hour. We later went across the street to Walmart and had a better time there. Aviation Mall is within proximity of a major tourist spot, it is unfortunate that it cannot be sustained.

Sunday I go to the mall to find a dog in a Chevy Cruze with a big QR Code on the back window (just…read morein case this happens again). After almost 3 hours of shopping I notice yup it's still in the car. Driver window is slightly cracked, but who brings an animal and leaves it ? Police were called and given car info. Security was called and was told "if it was a weather permitted issue" then they could do something. Are you kidding ?? How about if a child was in the car rather than a dog then SOMEONE would have smashed the window and parent arrested. I will always be a voice for animals and children since they can't communicate themselves !!

Now this was more of an experience I was hoping for. For many of my American friends, they tend to rate this specific store "standard fare" well it may be standard for them but for me the selection and pricing was fab! Lots of things to find, if you have the mind to search for it all. Shelves were often bare which made you think if they actively worked to make sure they replenished stock quickly enough. Spending time here allowed us to find quite a few neat things, for sure! There was a staffer working with a leg cast, to which I had to shake my head at. Good ol' American health care system. No express lane, which is dumb given it's 2019 and sometimes folks just need 1-2 things and should have to wait behind folks with full carts.

I ordered some tires from the website and paid for them along with installation.. The website gave me a delivery date which was acceptable and an installation date that was also acceptable.. then the trouble started.. first out of nowhere the installation date gets cancelled stating that my order wouldn't be delivered on time.. ok..no big deal.. then I contacted Walmart customer service and they rebooked the installation date for when the tires were to be delivered..no big deal... then the day arrives and I wake up ready to drop of my vehicle and .......my appointment is canceled AND my payment for the installation was refunded... so I called the Walmart customer service AGAIN and they assured me AGAIN that my tires would arrive on time and they rebooked my appointment.... So the day arrives and I get an email at 6:30 AM stating my appointment is canceled.. so I wait until the store opens and I called them... of course nobody answers... I called over 12 times and let it ring and ring and ring and each time it went back to voicemail and hung up on me.. finally after the 13th try, somebody answered and of course they had no idea what was going on. I tried to explain it and they sent me back to the auto center at which point nobody answered the phone... so I decided to go to the store... at which point a manager was of absolutely no help... the auto center manager was only slightly more helpful.. telling me that there was a delivery delay and one of my tires didn't show up... he takes my phone number and states that he will call me the second the tires get in..(they were apparently arriving within a couple hours)... of course I never received any call... I had to call them back and miraculously someone answer the phone... and finally my tires had all arrived... I asked if they could install them today due to all of my appointments being canceled and they said maybe ...call back at 3 o'clock.. of course I called back at 3 o'clock.. and the phone rings and rings and rings.... I called back seven more times.... No one would answer the phone... not the customer service.. not the auto Center... no one... so of course I go to the store and it is not busy... the auto Center is not busy whatsoever... no cars were backed up. In fact there were no cars in the auto center at all and no cars in the parking lot at all... just three mechanics sitting around laughing... and a counter person sitting around... by this point I was so disgusted. I just got my tires and walked out.... I had them installed within a half an hour at another local garage... I understand that things can get busy .. I am not an unreasonable person.... But this was absolutely outrageous.... I will never shop at Walmart again... in fact I am having my prescriptions moved to another pharmacy... Walmart is one of the biggest companies on the planet... how can they have a store that is so poorly managed??
