They only allow 15 items or less on self checkouts and many times the self checkouts are sitting idol with no one using them. Meantime the lines at the regular checkouts are long. Would it hurt to allow people a little over the 15 items to use the self checkout. More people working at the deli counter and that old grouch that was there is no longer cutting cold cuts. You do have to watch them because I found on several occasions the items in my order are mismarked with the wrong item.

Now skip to present day...Still the friendliest grocery. During the covid-19 social distancing, employees are taking all precautions. Owners John and Debbie are actively engaged with customers and staff, making regular announcements, spending time on the store floor, etc. Plastic screens are at all registers. The store is clean and orderly. Easy access along Route 93, plenty of parking, a nearby pharmacy, and a few restaurants with carryout make this an ideal grocery stop. They are in a shopping center (strip mall) so there is plenty of parking. It may get more challenging during peak periods, but that's to be expected. They have a good (and well stocked) meat department and a robust supply of fresh and frozen fish. There is a good bakery with plenty of selections of cakes, cookies and breads. There are many freezers of frozen foods too. There was an impressive supply fresh fruits and vegetables which are also strategically located around the prepared foods, cheeses, specialty gourmet items and deli. They seemed to have some good sales of which to take advantage. The cashiers smile, say hello and thank you for shopping at their store.
