Well tonight wanted grinders and they were seemingly convenient stop Got there at 6:30 and waited at Deli for someone to pay note to the fact that they had customers. There appeared to be only two employees working...one with pizza dough and one clanging pans in water that could nto be seen Finally I asked if they were still making grinders and pizza dough man said yes Finally lady came out and gave us a list of what they did not have; unsolicited. We tried three different possiblities and none were to be had.... making strike three we turned to leave. They had like nothing and were not willing to cut anything. On way out I noted all deli stuff was being covered and closed up. Seemed awfully early for what I Thought closing time was. When I got home I looked it up and everywhere I check online says Deli open til 9:00 pm.. Here is proof. I am so done with them...so done. I don't know what has happened to Big Y but it sure is not what it used to be. She was going around calling people trash and saying how she hates people, during her shift in front of and loud enough for everyone to here. I left early because I was so uncomfortable. I got what I needed but usually like to walk around for stuff I want. This dollar tree was neat and tidy and fully stocked. I come here when I'm looking for things I can't find in my hometown. And yes, it is convenient, in many aspects: It boasts plenty of gas pumps, and a huge parking lot with two entrances/exits. It's on a less-busy section of Route 1, so pulling out of here isn't too difficult. Inside, it has all the usual 7-Eleven amenities, including hot foods like pizza, burgers and hot dogs, plus the obligatory Slurpee machine (replete with sticky floor in its immediate vicinity during this heatwave). They also have a public bathroom. The drink coolers and snack displays were pretty well-stocked, even on a 90-degree day. Employees here are usually friendly, although there was kind of a wack crew working today, on the Fourth of July. One of the cashiers - a young woman with tattoos on the inside of her forearms - dropped an F-bomb, and loudly complained about the customer she had just rang up, because he pulled out some coins from his pocket after she had already given him his change. The other cashier - a man who appeared in his 40s - who waited on me, had kind of an odd vibe about him, as if he was much too happy to be working. He also handed me my change in an annoying way, practically letting the bill drop before I was able to grab it. He reminded me of a Mel Gibson during his crazy state, actually. Normally, I would deduct a star for this dynamic duo, but I'll give 'em a pass, since they were game enough to work on a holiday.
