In some…read moreways, the selection is better in certain areas, especially if you'd like 1000 choices of olive oil. For seasonings, the selection is pretty sparse. I do really like that. They have a butchers counter if you can call it that. I think they mostly get in slabs of meat that they just cut up into steaks. But it sure beats most grocery stores nowadays. But be prepared to pay 50 to 100% more than you would pay at a grocery store and significantly more than you would pay at Costco or Sam's Club. These stores are a lot smaller than you might see at a Publix or Kroger, so of course their selection is small smaller. One nice thing is you can find employees around the store who are willing to help you out. I'll give an example. Choice quality ribeye on sale for $23 a pound. I think the cheapest dozen eggs I saw was seven dollars. The same eggs you'll find it most grocery stores nowadays for about 2.5 or 3 dollars. The smaller size and fewer customers does make getting around the store quick quicker and checking out a little bit quicker. If you need help, they will generally have help available.

This was not my first Publix sub but it was my first at this store. I've always been pleased with Publix subs and was again today. My photo looks rough but the sandwich was messy and good. My visit wasn't as quick as it could have been but that was ok, I was not in a hurry. The meat wasn't pre-sliced so that took time, and the store is going through a renovation so for the moment there wasn't any self checkout registers. I had to use a cashier to pay for my sandwich, you know, like the old days. But it all went well and I got a chance to interact with both my sandwich maker and my cashier.

That is until a few weeks ago when I was chased down in the parking lot after loading my trunk and putting my carriage away with a worker yelling out "YOU NEED TO COME BACK INSIDE YOU DIDN'T PAY!!!!" I was confused at first as I knew I did pay and secondly annoyed as the very elderly gentleman who had served me had taken a very long time to do so and I was now in a rush to get to my next location. Upon being "escorted" back inside by this worker I pulled up my Bank of America app and saw that I had in fact been charged for what I bought at Publix. I let this man know and with his adrenaline running he said "you'll have to work it out with them!" finally we reach a manager who became apologetic and stated that the old man who rung me up then continued to serve another customer on my bill ...going to MY CARD. Yet I was made to look like I had robbed the place in the parking lot. How quickly this employee's reaction went from thinking he had found a huge thief to completely sheepish. All in all it was an okay run while it lasted (I say okay because as previously mentioned it's not that great of a Publix to miss in the first place) but on principal I will never ever shop here again.

It does incredible things for your body!" Everything in this Produce Dept is in super pristine AMAZING shape thanks to the staff scouring and meticulously extracting pieces that are deteriorating. Ask any staff how to tell when the fruits ripen. The black plums are heavenly in their sweet nectar juiciness when soft. I add slices to my ripe melon salads with thin slices of banana! During corn season there were tables piled high at a great price and by evening everyday, they were left bare. I love the white corn and yellow/ white corn that you put in a pipping hot steamer for just 3 minutes. Beet greens and fresh apricots have the highest amount of natural vitamin A - - combats/ helps prevent cancer. My dad, a prof of biochemistry, gave us skills in preventive medicine and counseled us against preservatives and hydrogenated fats in foods. This store has wonderful vaulted ceilings going up 15 + feet streaming beautiful rays of sunshine upon us as we peacefully shop. This past year they modernized and greatly improved/ made much safer the entire walking area in the front of the store. And finally, this store is SO clean, and I truly enjoy ALL the delightful staff throughout the store ( many have been there for years ). Need help/ have a question/ order meat with the butcher?
