With such limited hours I tried the Walgreens in a neighboring town because they had full week hours. Have been sitting on hold for over an hour with just 2 people ahead of me. The cashier was inexperienced and had trouble operating the register. She kept despairing in the back room for multiple minutes at the time while the line only kept growing. In addition, the Hallmark keepsakes were poorly organized.

Shout out to Cynthia at Tractor Supply. It's a wintery rain tonight (the kind that makes you rush,…read moreshivering, from your car to the entrance door quick as you can) as I pulled into the parking lot, I saw her hoisting a dozen wet and heavy bags of pellets from an outdoor display heap into the back of a customer's SUV. This employee had a courteous smile on her face as she carried bag after bag over, but what struck me most was how sadly indifferent the customer was: warm & smug and no where near as close to the pellet pile as she could have parked to lighten the load. Cynthia (still dripping from the chilly parking lot) instantly welcomed me in and gave me excellent customer service. I told her I was on the hunt for a chicken sweater for my daughter, and she looked through the racks with me for the exact one, which they seem to have been sold out of. Then she brought my attention to a lot of other chicken themed clothes that would absolutely delight my daughter, but weren't the sweater. Suddenly I spotted a pink sweatshirt on the clearance rack with a big chicken on it, in my daughter's size! And holy shmokes it was only six dollars!! Cynthia was genuinely so happy for me. I just loved her attitude the whole time. I'm just passing through town from out of state and will probably never be here again but I hope the locals appreciate the kind, cheerful person they are blessed to have helping them with their orders at this TSC, rain or shine. Y'ALL BE NICE TO HER!

I placed my order on November 29th, 2013 for a bed, dresser with mirror and night stand. They promised that I can pickup all the items before Christmas and everything was all set until I receive a call from value city before a week to delivery date and they said they are missing head stand and night stand. I got upset and after speaking with their regional manager, he gave me free shipping to my house and promised to deliver all the items on January 15th. I received a call again just two days prior to new delivery date and when I asked about the missing items they said they are still missing and they will arrive around 15th February. I told them to deliver everything together and today when I just received the delivery, head stand for bed and night stand are still missing and the delivery gentlemen said the missing will be coming on March 11th. He told me the that someone just ordered the missing items yesterday.

The sales associates were cheery and delightful, offering ideas and suggestions, helping shoppers make some very tough decisions ("Do I get this bag in every color, or should I get this one color in a different style?") and making the men in the store feel slightly less out of place (like my very patient boyfriend!). They walked around with cheat sheets to help customers get an idea of how much their purchases would cost, and they happily did dozens of price checks for customers, when asked. I was having a hard time finding the right bag for me. I was in the market for a black patent leather bag (which they didn't have), that I could comfortably carry on my shoulder and tuck underneath my arm, that I could both wear to work and dress up, and that had a full zip closure. Nothing I found seemed to be fitting the bill. One of the associates (I think my receipt said her name was La H.) stepped in to help me and nabbed my (almost) perfect bag on the first try. It wasn't patent leather, but it was still pretty damn fabulous. And when the whole store is on sale, you can't stop at just a hand bag... that would be rude. No, one must share the love. So, I picked up some accessories for myself and for a friend (also on deep discount!) and STILL walked out paying less than I would have paid, full price, just for the purse. That, ladies, is what I call a score!
