It took me about 40 minutes to find everything since the store is always a complete mess. I then go up to the cash register and she scans the barcode on my phone and tells me the order is invalid and has to be cancelled and just stares at me. She then tries it again and I guess it worked because she starts scanning the items. She then tells me one of the items don't match so she cancelled the order. She said maybe the customer will redo the order but she offered 0 help. I then had to put all the items back and leave. She was so incredibly rude and lazy and did not even try to act like she cared. As a "manager" that's ridiculous.

All of the retail prices have either been blacked out or literally cut out. They somehow go…read morethrough each item and put an outrageously high price on the items with a black permanent marker. They mark it up 30 % higher then mark it down 50 to 80% I'm not a handwriting analysts but it looks like the same person has been doing this alone for years. I've been shopping there for, well let's just say a long long time. I hate it when people think I'm an idiot. Most of the items are out of date, style, have stains, smell like smoke or have missing pieces. They could make a fortune if they would quit being greedy and try being honest, leave the original prices on and give a discount. If you have been there, you know they are not paying their bills from sales, it's a ghost town. It looks like a front for something more lucrative.

There are 3 sizes-- shopping basket for $10, mini pallet for $20, or an entire shopping cart full for $50. The for the flat rate baskets, the store limits the number of each type of item involved (but some are unlimited quantity). Both times I have gone, I have filled a $10 basket, with tax comes to $10.84. You won't believe your eyes! The only downside to shopping here is that not every item is pristine. There will almost undoubtedly be some food that is moldy or past date. You may have to dig a teeny bit or browse to find just the item in the condition you want. To me, this is 900% worth the price and eco friendly option of this store. The best part about the second chance these food items get besides the deep discount is that it does not go to waste! That makes every dollar and gallon of fuel expended worth more in the entire food industry!

I ended up making smoothies and an impressive fruit salad along with a old family recipe for fruit stew. It's just ripe fruit cooked down to a syrup like consistency and served cold over ice cream or cake. Anyways I also got staples and stuff for a regular salad. Feasted with 5 other people for about $25-30! I didn't even remember the cost because it was just so inexpensive!

Personally, I thought it'd feel a bit more thrifty based off of the name, giving more "glassware from a grandma" than "church-like stained glass," but that's okay. Last week, they ran a fun sale where telling a joke earned you 20% off--I scored some adorable black and white cowboy boots for just $5. What makes this place even more special is that all proceeds support an amazing cause: funding the HOPE Center health clinic and providing food packages for families in need.
