Crazy Apes offers basically all the selection a Wal-Mart does (besides refrigerated slash frozen foods) but with packages that have seen better days, slightly expired pantry food, or minor defects. It's a liquidation store so the shelves will be loaded in some areas but sparse in others. Given the wide array of products, I would say the store is as organized as a liquidation store can be. But not having perfectly faced shelves full of product doesn't bother me one bit, that's how I snagged a nice set of sheets for $18 dollars (and can you believe the taped up label from Target didn't distract me from buying it!) One thing to note, the selection is always changing so if you see something you want don't wait. Grab it. Go home and call your friends. This my friends, is a cheapskates paradise.

Some items more expensive than Target or your local Hardware Hank for that matter. We saw some women's and girls clothes of very low quality at prices starting at $9 for a small pair of shorts that don't look like that they could survive a first washing. There are greeting cards for a dollar that look far more expensive, a few toiletries like major brand deodorant, but household cleaning supplies is where I found the steeper prices. Dawn dish washing detergent in the smaller condensed bottle was $1.65 compared to $1 at Dollar Tree. Since there is no Target or other large store on the Hwy 8 stretch I would say this is a great value and convenient place for the locals.

I usually go with my two kids because it's a cheap way to get them a new toy for an airplane ride or the never-ending supplies required to satisfy writing/drawing/art time. The best part is that the store is always really clean and staff are super friendly. Without fail, when we go to checkout the employees offer a sticker to them and acknowledge them with a smile. Moved to Isanti Minnesota in June 2024 and looked for a local grocery store. Found Coborn's.....was…read morejust ok and average. Since the 1.5 years we've been going there for groceries it has continued to decline dramatically. Store not stocked very well with many items continually low or out of stock. Distilled water, large ketchup, bathroom supplies, toothpaste and many other items always out of stock or very low supply. Many items in the store are continually out of date and expired, but still sitting on the shelf to be sold. Activia yogurt, milk, dairy products, salad croutons, produce, the list goes on. This is pathetic to not purge these items so consumers don't spend their hard earned money on expired products! Store arrangement of items is just weird.......makes zero sense compared to other grocery stores. Items like Ketchup you need to practically stand on your head on the bottom shelf to get a bottle, with other seldom used condiments in easy view and reach, why???? Popular brands are eliminated in favor of generics that are not as good or as high of quality. Some, not all, of the staff is rude and very cold.......no welcome or Hi, they walk right by you and at checkout throw items down the belt like it's a NASCAR race. I won't even mention the convoluted way to purchase their gasoline to get their advertised discount. We now drive 12-miles to North Branch to get our groceries........we won't shop at Coborn's any longer! Unless they clean up the place and make changes. It's obviously a management issue as these issues can easily be remedied but they don't seem to care at all. Bye Bye Coborn's!
