They don't have display cases, but huge boxes of merchandise as seen on Amazon (not TV). I don't think it's related to the internationally known e-commerce website. Alibaba is also the main character from the famous Arabian folk tale. Any ways, as I was saying, don't think all products from China look cheap. They're seriously made for high end consumers. Like cell phone accessories brand LeYi. I never knew this brand until I bought a cell phone case from Amazon. They got unique design and functionality. Yesterday July 31 was their first day. I arrived around 3 pm. They were busy unloading and setting up the shop. There were few customers. Employees greeted everyone as we came in. Prices are still handwritten on the crates. I saw $1, $2, $3, $4, $5... But I saw nice stuff in the crates. Oh, they take cash and credit cards. I wasn't planning to stay long because I could overspend for trinkets. Some items can become customized gifts for businesses. I'll be back when we can safely meet in person. Because I will buy a bunch of stuff for my meetup giveaways. **Updated after my second visit and chatted with co-owner Jason** They have plan to expend this operation to 10 stores in Houston. I think it's a great concept. I wish them luck and I will be back every month to see new products.

Shopping in Houston, Texas…read more.. Lisa and I were driving past this store. I asked her if she wanted to take a look... Sure! The word "outlet" was very appealing... LOL! There was a lot of free parking in the shared lot. Originally, we were going to Family Dollar Store which is a couple of doors down. We went into Burke's Outlet first... It's kind of similar to Ross Dress For Less. It's a very spacious, clean, well-organized discount store. The prices seemed reasonable because the sale price was way lower than the retail price. Lisa thought that the clothing was cute and she bought a bunch of outfits. I got a pair of rainboots because the rainy season in Hawaii is coming. (I have to wade across streams between my car and the building at work.) We went through the kitchen, accessories, baby, and other departments. There's so much variety... However, I didn't find any Houston Astros or Rice University gear... Haha! Service was excellent! The cashier told us about the free membership which makes shopping here more beneficial for the customer. For example, everyone gets ten percent off on Mondays. When you hit $200 in purchases, you'll get $5 back. During your birthday month you'll get 15% off a single purchase. Overall, it was a fun shopping adventure. It seems like Burke's is in other States besides Texas. I haven't seen this store in Hawaii nor California.

The customer service was friendly. You sack your own groceries which I actually prefer because I am particular about how my groceries are sacked. The store feels clean and well-kept. Don't get me wrong, they do have great prices and certain areas of the store on certain food items but household goods are a bit pricy. It's usually very busy but I wasn't a fan of the parking lot just because it's a bit of a rundown place. The store has a really nasty smell approaching the main doors or even when you leave the building. The way to store it looked on the inside was pretty ugly too. Store was fairly organized and well staffed. They had a smaller selection of items that I was looking for but thankfully I found the important stuff. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with my visit here. Definitely come here if you're on a budget regardless.

They are a HEB-owned sister store with mostly HEB and Hill Country branded products for even lower prices. Large family packs of meat at bulk prices. Awesome bakery section - like 8 bolillos for only $1, made from scratch daily! Bulk bins of dried beans and several aisles of assorted cheeses by the produce section. They also have a sushi bar near the entrance with staff making various fresh rolls. Friendly store associates are helpful and constantly restocking, so there is plenty of availability. Be sure to check out their weekly ads, lots of good deals. It is usually pretty crowded with customers in store and in the parking lot, best to shop early in the mornings. Almost everyone has full carts but there are many registers open with efficient cashiers, so the lines move fast. There are store associates that help you find and point you to the shortest check out line too. Clean, organized, and spacious store with a warehouse atmosphere. Quality grocery and household items.
