Myself and family are regular shoppers at THIS particular DG because of the staff, very friendly, clean store and generally well stocked. The level of rude, mean, entitled people in such a nice little town is disturbing. I've witnessed/heard cashiers being berated, talked down to and threatened w/physical violence. But these ladies still show up to work w/a smile.

You turn a corner and find cherry lip balm next to WD-40, sequined flip-flops beside off-brand Pop-Tarts--fabulous. It's as if a tornado of capitalism and convenience had a love affair with Warhol's soup cans. You must understand--glamour is not about wealth. It's about attitude. A woman buying detergent and rhinestone sunglasses with the same zeal as she might buy Balenciaga? That's style. That's panache. That's living. And the scents! Oh, the mingling perfumes of discount detergent, cinnamon gum, and synthetic fabrics--it was practically Dadaist. I could bottle it and call it "Eau de Recession." It's clean, well stocked and well merchandised. They have almost everything I need at a very good price. This store is busy though. They can have 2 cashiers and still have a line down one of the isles. The store is busy enough to actually have the payroll to employ stockers and employees working on the floor! That's not common in the dollar store world. The only reason for the missing star is the rest of the employees i.e. management, are not so friendly. This crew is only helpful when asked. They are not going to ask you if you need help finding something. I shopped here for about 5 months before I even knew who the store manager was. If they could kick up the customer service I'd give it 5 stars!
