There is a lady who is going in there with a small dog and putting it in a cart. This dog is not a service animal. It ooks like and acts like a regular pet. It is important for people who need service animals to have them everywhere but they do not sit in carts and they are well behaved. I was waiting by the lottery machine and the dog was out of the cart rnning up to me several times. I probably would not have said anything if it had not been annoying me. This lady turned and asked me if i was waiting to play the lottery. It was obvious I was and when she did I asked her if the dog was hers and why it was in the grocery store. She said she had special permission fromt he store manager and she had anxiety so she needed this little dog which was ridiculous. I looked up the law on this and only service animals are allowed in grocery stores, not emotional support animals. The worse thing about it is the fact that she puts the dog in the cart instead of having a leash and controlling it alongside the cart. I wrote a letter to the manager of the store and received no response so I am assuming this is alright with him even though this is a health and sanitation violation. Oh sure,the dog is cute and all that but it is in a cart that anyone could get afterwards. And to be blunt, that dog's rear end and paws are all over that cart , a cart that you or I may unknowingly put our produce and food stuffs on after this woman leaves the store. And talking to the assistant manager and secutrity guard were useless at the time, even though at that point this woman was calling me names and saying she was purposely going to stay at the lottery machine to keep me from using it.

Lidl's shopping experience is sort of halfway between ALDI and a retail grocery store. They have an on-site bakery and a great selection of produce, plus two long aisles of frozen items including great seafood and prepared stuff. The meats here are also excellent, though a bit more expensive than ALDI. I'm a fan of the Lidl fizzy water and that was my main shop here today. In stock and priced right. I'm very pleased. I know it's stressful moving Halloween and trying to find a way for it to take up less space so that Christmas can be put on the floor, I work retail myself. But when the WORKERS make a mistake we honor it. I'm saying workers because the item I wanted was showing $2 on the shelf with SEVERAL OTHER items beside it, only difference was the color and style, no customer is going to set down MULTIPLE of one item in an organized line. The prices are generally lower than traditional markets. The produce is fresh and the meats looked really good. They had 90% lean ground beef, grass fed for under $5.00/lb the day I was there. When I mention "seconds" it doesn't mean it's spoiled but that it might not be that perfect shape. The potatoes for example might not be that perfect oval shape but were still harvested from the same farm at the same time. When I said this is a place for browsers it's because you are never fully sure what they will have on any given day. On the day I was there there must have been 20+ different brands of hot sauces. I found some King Arthur baking items I could only find on line.
