The owner and people who work there are very nice and customer service is over the top. As with any discount store, they never know what they are going to get. Some of the items they carry are odds and ends, like scotch, tape, water, bottles,and lightbulbs. Some of my great finds include Barilla protein pasta ($1/box), Zevia (clear soda with Stevia, not sugar), Quest protein cookies/bars, Quaker sour cream and Onion rice cakes (.50), Premiere Protein Breakfast cereal and k cups. Some of the items are outdated so if that makes you leery, this is probably not the place for you but some things are within 30 days of being outdated, and it is priced for quick sale and consumption. This is a great place especially with food prices and for families who struggle with food insecurity. Me, I just like to find high quality items for a bargain :). Check it out, you won't be sorry.

However I'm giving 5 stars to make up for Jean's one star review just because their hours did not meet her standards. She is free to go to the other stores she lists with hours that please her. That is too narrow a basis to hurt any businesses overall rating. I would also give Yelp a one star rating for still accepting her reviews. Look at her reviews and you will see 95 % are one star over one issue that made her furious and always using extremely derogatory language that could be labeled overly entitled, just attention seeking or a paid critic to harm the business.

They are being sued for deceptive advertising. When they say the price is one thing but charge you another. We went back into our DG the other day and got $47 in groceries but we were charged $67. We said something about it and the guy working there did fix the prices this time. So it seems like they are trying to fix the problem if you complain about it. Yes, there is a FredMeyers and a McKays grocery store in Brookings, but they can be pricey if your needing organic foods. This grocery outlet usually has so many organic and vegan options, I never go home empty handed. I also love the fact that they offer new inventory every 2 days.
