Grocery Outlet on the other side of town is often cheaper. But some of their merchandise is priced well, and some of it is unavailable elsewhere in town. I can usually find something worth buying when I go in there - your luck may be even better. Or not. It's worth checking out every few weeks to see what's come in.

Mistakes are one thing lost leader, and false advertising is a different bag of worms. Acknowledging that you made a mistake, honoring your mistake, and then changing the ad immediately after would be a good idea. Refusing to honor it is a very bad idea after it's been running for three months and it's not legal. Shame on grocery outlet.

It is located in the South Coast Center strip mall, and has plenty of shared parking. The footprint is very large, with wide aisles and plenty of real registers. We spent a lot of time here, noticing a lot of items (some name brands) that we've not seen at other Dollar trees before. Ended up buying a bunch of things for $1.25 (ben and jerry single serve ice cream, and various branded dog toys). Checkout was easy, and of course there is no sales tax in Oregon. They are being sued for deceptive advertising. When they say the price is one thing but charge you another. We went back into our DG the other day and got $47 in groceries but we were charged $67. We said something about it and the guy working there did fix the prices this time. So it seems like they are trying to fix the problem if you complain about it. Watch your receipts I will give them 4 stars for now since they did fix it for this transaction.

Yes, there is a FredMeyers and a McKays grocery store in Brookings, but they can be pricey if your needing organic foods. This grocery outlet usually has so many organic and vegan options, I never go home empty handed. I also love the fact that they offer new inventory every 2 days. I wish other grocery outlets would do this. You never know what your going to find. Staff is friendly and checkout is a breeze. I will miss this store.
